The Copa Adrián C. Escobar was an official List of Argentine football national cups, Argentine football cup competition contested by clubs of Argentina, organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA) from 1939 to 1949. The trophy of the tournament was donated by Adrián C. Escobar, president of the AFA in 1939, year in which the match was created. Ricardo Roberto Infante (21 June 1924 – 14 December 2008) was an Argentine Association football, football player and manager who played as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker. He was the second-highest-scoring player in the history of Estudiantes de La Plata and the sixth-highest-scoring player in the professional era of the Primera División Argentina. Career Infante made his professional debut in 1942 for Estudiantes de La Plata, Estudiantes, he scored his first goal for the club on 1 August 1943 in a 2–2 draw with Chacarita Juniors. Infante went on to score 180 goals for the club in 328 games. Ángel Amadeo Labruna (28 September 1918 – 19 September 1983) was an Argentine footballer and coach who played as a forward. With 323 goals scored in official matches, which include 294 league goals, Labruna is the 2nd all-time top scorer of Primera División after Paraguayan Arsenio Erico. Rinaldo Fioramonte Martino (; 6 November 1921 – 15 November 2000) was an Italian Argentine forward who played for both the Argentine and the Italy national football teams. Usually a forward, Martino was a player known for his lethal combination of goal scoring ability, playmaking skills and technique. Club career Martino was signed by San Lorenzo de Almagro in 1941 at the age of 19 from Belgrano de Rosario.
