Cooperation Party
The Cooperation Party ( da, Samarbejdspartiet; kl, Suleqatigiissitsisut) is a Greenlandic liberal party founded in March 2018 by Inatsisartut MPs Michael Rosing and Tillie Martinussen, both formerly of the Democrats. The party advocates economic liberalisation and privatisation of the large publicly owned companies that dominate the Greenlandic economy. The Cooperation Party is in favour of increased cooperation within the unity of the Realm, increased immigration to Greenland and better integration and inclusion of immigrants and minorities. Another main priority for the party is more support for the socially vulnerable, especially sexually abused children and youth. The party ran in the 2018 Greenlandic parliamentary elections and won 1 seat with 1,193 votes. In the 2021 elections the party lost its only seat. Michael Rosing (politician)
Michael Rosing (19 February1756 – 12 October 1818) was a Norwegian-Danish actor. Early life Rosing was born in Røros, Norway. In 1775 he graduated from the University of Copenhagen. Career In 1776 he joined the Royal Danish Theatre. He was an elite actor of the Royal Theatre from 1777 to 1808. He was most known for his roles in tragedy, lover roles and Nordic hero roles. He was a member of the ''Det Dramatiske Selskab'', and an instructor of the royal acting school in 1788–1808, and its principal from 1804. Economic Liberalisation
Economic liberalization (or economic liberalisation) is the lessening of government regulations and restrictions in an economy in exchange for greater participation by private entities. In politics, the doctrine is associated with classical liberalism and neoliberalism. Liberalization in short is "the removal of controls" to encourage economic development. Many countries have pursued and followed the path of economic liberalization in the 1980s, 1990s and in the 21st century, with the stated goal of maintaining or increasing their competitiveness as business environments. Danish Language
Danish (; , ) is a North Germanic language spoken by about six million people, principally in and around Denmark. Communities of Danish speakers are also found in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and the northern German region of Southern Schleswig, where it has minority language status. 2022 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 1 November 2022, except in the Faroe Islands, where they were held on 31 October as 1 November was a national day of mourning for victims at sea. Of the 179 members of the Folketing, 175 were elected in Denmark proper, two in the Faroes and two in Greenland. The elections were called on 5 October following an ultimatum to the government by the Social Liberal Party (which had been providing external support) due to the outcome of a report on the 2020 Danish mink cull by the Mink Commission, which was critical of the government. 2019 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament elections. 2018 Greenlandic General Election
General elections were held in Greenland on 24 April 2018, electing all 31 members of Parliament of Greenland, Parliament. The elections were required to be held no later than 26 November 2018, four years after the 2014 Greenlandic general election, previous elections on 27 November 2014, but Prime Minister of Greenland, Prime Minister Kim Kielsen chose to call the elections seven months early.
