Coomera Connector
The Coomera Connector, formerly known as the Intra Regional Transport Corridor, is a proposed motorway that will connect Logan City with the Gold Coast in South East Queensland, Australia. It will run parallel to the M1 Pacific Motorway for its entire length and will run adjacent to the Gold Coast railway line south of Coomera. The Stage 1 of the motorway between Nerang and Coomera commenced construction in March 2023 and will be completed in late 2025. The rest of the motorway is currently under planning . As of July 2022 the business case for future stages is due for completion by the end of 2023. Nerang–Broadbeach Road
Nerang–Broadbeach Road is a road on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is classified a state-controlled district road, and is part of State Route 90. The eastern section is also known as Hooker Boulevard. It is a state-controlled district road (number 105). Gold Coast Railway Line
The Gold Coast railway line is an interurban railway line operated by Queensland Rail in Queensland, Australia, connecting Brisbane with the Gold Coast. The line currently includes stops at 17 stations. In 2021, a journey from Central station to the terminus of this line is scheduled to take 1 hour 23 minutes. Several new stations along the existing line and an extension south are planned. History The Beenleigh railway line opened in 1885 before being extended as the South Coast Line to Southport in 1889. Mark Craig Bailey is an Australian politician currently serving as the Minister for Transport and Main Roads of Queensland. He has also served as the Labor member for Miller (formerly Yeerongpilly) in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015. Early life Bailey was a high school teacher in history and drama and has worked in transport, gambling, liquor and racing policy for the Queensland state government.
