The Windy City ThunderBolts are a professional baseball team based in the Chicago suburb of Crestwood, Illinois, in the United States. The ThunderBolts are a member of the Frontier League, which is a partner league of Major League Baseball. Since 1999, the ThunderBolts have played their home games at Ozinga Field. History The franchise known as the Windy City ThunderBolts started as the Will County Claws in 1995 and played their home games at Lewis University's Brennan Field in Romeoville. The Claws played in the struggling North Central League, which started in 1994 with six teams but fielded only four in 1995. The Washington Wild Things are a professional baseball team based in Washington, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Tommy Nance
Thomas Andrew Nance (born March 19, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Chicago Cubs. Early life and amateur career Nance attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California. In high school he had a stress fracture in his lower back. He played college baseball at Long Beach State, Cypress College, and Santa Clara. He underwent Tommy John surgery after his senior year of college. Joshua Patrick William Spence (born 22 January 1988) is an Australian former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres. Career Spence enrolled at Central Arizona College, and played for their baseball team in 2007 and 2008. He was selected in 25th round of the 2008 draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks but did not sign. He transferred to Arizona State University to play for the Sun Devils for the 2009 season going 10–1 with a 2.37 ERA, where he joined Mike Leake and Seth Blair in the Sun Devils' starting rotation. Andrew Steven Werner (born February 25, 1987) is an American college baseball coach former professional baseball pitcher. He is the pitching coach at Bradley University. He played college baseball at Illinois Central College in 2006 and 2007 before transferring to the University of Indianapolis in 2008 and 2009. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the San Diego Padres in 2012. High School and College Werner graduated from Washington Community High School in 2005. Chris Andrew Oxspring (born 13 May 1977) is a former Australian professional baseball pitcher who played for a number of teams around the world. Career Oxspring joined the Hanshin Tigers in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the 2006 season. On 15 December 2006, Oxspring signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. Richmond Roosters
The Richmond Roosters were a professional baseball team based in Richmond, Indiana from 1995-2005. The Roosters played in the independent Frontier League, which at that time had no affiliation with Major League Baseball. The Roosters began play in the third season of the Frontier League when the Kentucky Rifles franchise folded and Richmond was granted an expansion team. The team played at Don McBride Stadium in Richmond. The franchise was sold after the 2005 season, moved to Traverse City, Michigan and became the Traverse City Beach Bums, who played at Wuerfel Park in the Traverse City suburb of Blair Township from 2006-2018.
