Conway House, also known as the Moncure Daniel Conway House, is a historic home located at Falmouth, Stafford County, Virginia. It was the home of author, clergyman, and abolitionist Moncure D. Conway (1832-1907) and used as a Union hospital during the American Civil War. an''Accompanying four photos''/ref> The home was built in 1807, and is a large two-story, five bay, "L"-shaped Federal style brick dwelling. It has a full basement, side-gable slate roof, brick interior-end chimneys. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Falmouth is a census-designated place (CDP) in Stafford County, Virginia, United States. Situated on the north bank of the Rappahannock River at the falls, the community is north of and opposite the city of Fredericksburg. Recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau as a census-designated place (CDP), Falmouth's population was 4,274 as of the 2010 census. Moncure, founded in 1881, is a small rural unincorporated community in southeastern Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. Moncure and the neighboring community of Haywood form the Moncure census-designated place (CDP), which had a population of 711 at the 2010 census.
