Infected Mushroom
Infected Mushroom is an Israeli musical duo formed in Haifa in 1996 by producers Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani. They produce and perform psytrance, electronica, dream trance and psychedelic music. They are one of the best-selling groups in Israeli music history in terms of both domestic and international sales. They employ a variety of musical sources, including acoustic guitars and complex synthesized basses. Their compositions often contain changes of drum beat and tempo. Infected Mushroom's live shows feature vocals and analogue instruments in performances that are set against a multimedia backdrop. Dim Mak Records is an independent, Los Angeles-based record label, events company, and lifestyle brand founded by Steve Aoki in 1996. The label has released music under the genres of punk, indie rock, hardcore, hip hop, and electronic dance music. History Early years Steve Aoki started Dim Mak Records in 1996 at the age of 19, out of his college apartment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. ''Army of Mushrooms'' is the eighth studio album by Infected Mushroom released on May 8, 2012 under Dim Mak Records. It features a cover of "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters, "Serve My Thirst", and "U R So F**ked" (which was released as a single/video on February 14, 2012). Background Similar to the release of ''Vicious Delicious'', ''Army of Mushrooms'' differs greatly from their previous styles, with experimentation in dubstep, electro house, and drum and bass. Some versions of the album contain a remixed version of "Bust A Move" from ''Classical Mushroom'' titled "Bust A Move (Infected Remix)"; this same remix is included on their previous studio album '' Legend of the Black Shawarma''.
