Emilie Autumn Liddell (born September 22, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter, poet, author and violinist. Autumn's musical style is described by her as "Fairy Pop", "Fantasy Rock" or "Victoriandustrial". It is influenced by glam rock and from plays, novels, and history, particularly the Victorian era. Performing with her all-female backup dancers The Bloody Crumpets, Autumn incorporates elements of classical music, cabaret, electronica, and glam rock with theatrics, and burlesque. Growing up in Malibu, California, Autumn began learning the violin at the age of four and left regular school five years later with the goal of becoming a world-class violinist; she practiced eight or nine hours a day and read a wide range of literature. Malibu ( ; es, Malibú; Chumash: ) is a beach city in the Santa Monica Mountains region of Los Angeles County, California, situated about west of Downtown Los Angeles. ''Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival'' (stylized onscreen as ''The Devil's Carnival: Alleluia!'') is a 2015 American Musical film, musical Fantasy film, fantasy horror film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Terrance Zdunich. It is a direct sequel to Bousman's 2012 short film ''The Devil's Carnival'', but unlike the previous film, ''Alleluia'' is a feature-length project. ''The Devil's Carnival'' is a 2012 American musical horror film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Briana Evigan, Jessica Lowndes, Paul Sorvino, Emilie Autumn and Terrance Zdunich. The film marks the second collaboration of Bousman and writer/actor Terrance Zdunich, their previous work being the unrelated musical film ''Repo! The Genetic Opera''. Darren Lynn Bousman (; born January 11, 1979) is an American film director and screenwriter, best known for his work in horror films. He has directed four of the ''Saw'' films: ''Saw II'', ''Saw III'', ''Saw IV'', and '' Spiral''. He also directed the horror musicals ''Repo! The Genetic Opera'' and ''The Devil's Carnival'' movies. ''Fight Like a Girl'' is the third studio album released by Emilie Autumn. It is a concept album, based on her novel '' The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls''. She has referred to the album as a preview of her forthcoming full-length musical based on the book. Release and promotion As early as 2010, Autumn hinted that she was working on the album, revealing the acronym "F.L.A.G." on Twitter in June of that year, before later announcing the full title. Autumn scheduled three tours in 2012 to promote the album, each referred to either as the "Fight Like A Girl tour" or the "FLAG tour", the first throughout North and South America in January and February, and the next two in the UK and Europe in March and April. Disc one, "Laced", is a re-release of '' On a Day...'', Autumn's fledgling record, with the addition of several previously unreleased live recordings from her teenage years. Disc two, "Unlaced", contains all electric violin recordings. A limited-edition CD + book set was released on March 9, 2007 with just 2000 copies being printed worldwide, and the jewel case Optical disc packaging is the packaging that accompanies CDs, DVDs, and other formats of optical discs. Originally released on September 1, 2006 by Trisol Music Group, and recorded at Mad Villain Studios in Chicago, Illinois, it was the first album by the artist to receive widespread distribution around the world. Release and promotion The album ''Opheliac'' was preceded by the ''Opheliac EP'', released in Spring 2006. Released through Autumn's own independent label, Traitor Records, this was a preview of the full-length album, and featured the first six tracks plus "Marry Me" and "Thank God I'm Pretty", the latter as a hidden track following the former. However, track 5 "I Want My Innocence Back" does not play on any copies of the EP, due to a manufacturing error. ''Enchant'' is the debut studio album by Emilie Autumn, originally released on February 26, 2003, by Traitor Records and re-released on August 17, 2007 by Trisol Music Group. The original release also included the Enchant Puzzle. The album was preceded by the EP '' Chambermaid'' in place of a single release. Background and lyrics Autumn has characterized ''Enchant'', much of which was written in her teen years, as a "fantasy rock" concept album, dealing with the supernatural realm and its influence on the real world, as well as "dreams and stories and ghosts and faeries who'll bite your head off if you dare to touch them."
