''Against the Wind'' ( it, Controvento) is a 2000 Italian drama film co-written and directed by Peter Del Monte. It entered the Panorama section at the 51st Berlin International Film Festival. Arisa
Rosalba Pippa (born 20 August 1982), better known by her stage name Arisa, is an Italian singer and actress. Early life Arisa was born in Genoa, Italy. A week after her birth, her family moved back to their original hometown, Pignola, a village a few kilometres from Potenza. (in Italian) Her stage name is an acronym of her family members' names: A from her father, Antonio; R from her own name, Rosalba; I and S from her sisters, Isabella and Sabrina; and A from her mother, Assunta. In 1999, she won first prize in the Cantacavallo competition in Teggiano for her singing ability. The president of the jury, journalist and writer Bianca Fasano, personally delivered the cup. Margherita Buy (born 15 January 1962) is an Italian actress. She is a seven-time David di Donatello Awards winner and seven-time Nastro d'argento winner. Overview After a long period of studying at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, she made her breakthrough role in Duccio Tessari's ''Una grande storia d'amore'' (1986), which was followed by roles in Daniele Luchetti's two projects ''It's Happening Tomorrow'' (1988) and '' The Week of the Sphinx'' (1990). Ennio Fantastichini
Ennio Fantastichini (20 February 1955 – 1 December 2018) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Gallese, province of Viterbo, Fantastichini studied acting at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico. His breakout role was Tommaso Scalia in Gianni Amelio's '' Open Doors'', a role that gave him a Nastro d'Argento, a Ciak d'oro and a special European Film Award as European Discovery of the Year. In 2010, for his performance in Ferzan Özpetek's '' Loose Cannons'', he won a David di Donatello for best supporting actor and a second Nastro d'Argento in the same category. Fantastichini died of acute promyelocytic leukemia in Naples on 1 December 2018, at the age of 63. Valeria Golino (born 22 October 1965) is an Italian actress and film director.
