Contagion (TNG Episode)
"Contagion" is the eleventh episode of the second season of the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', the 37th episode overall. It was originally released on March 20, 1989, in broadcast syndication. It was written by Steve Gerber and Beth Woods, and was directed by Joseph L. Scanlan. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the USS ''Enterprise''. In this episode, Picard and company try to protect the ''Enterprise'' against a catastrophic malfunction and simultaneously unlock the secrets of the once-powerful Iconian empire while keeping those secrets from the watchful Romulans. Starfleet
Starfleet is a fictional organization in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. Michael Okuda
Michael Okuda is an American graphic designer best known for his work on ''Star Trek'' including designing futuristic computer user interfaces known as "okudagrams". Career Work in ''Star Trek'' In the mid-1980s, he designed the look of animated computer displays for the USS ''Enterprise''-A bridge in '' Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home''. This led to a staff position on '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'' in 1987 as a scenic artist, adding detail to set designs and props. In computing, rebooting is the process by which a running computer system is restarted, either intentionally or unintentionally. Reboots can be either a cold reboot (alternatively known as a hard reboot) in which the power to the system is physically turned off and back on again (causing an initial boot of the machine); or a warm reboot (or soft reboot) in which the system restarts while still powered up. Earl Grey Tea
Earl Grey tea is a tea blend which has been flavoured with oil of bergamot. The rind's fragrant oil is added to black tea to give Earl Grey its unique taste. Traditionally, Earl Grey was made from black teas such as Chinese keemun, and therefore intended to be served without milk. However, tea companies have since begun to offer Earl Grey made from stronger teas such as Ceylons, which are better suited to the addition of milk or cream.
