Consumer Council (Hong Kong)
The Consumer Council is an independent statutory authority in Hong Kong, established in 1974 and formalised in April 1977 under the Consumer Council Ordinance (Cap. 216). Tsim Sha Tsui
Tsim Sha Tsui, often abbreviated as TST, is an list of areas of Hong Kong, urban area in southern Kowloon, Hong Kong. The area is administratively part of the Yau Tsim Mong District. Tsim Sha Tsui East is a piece of land reclaimed from the Hung Hom Bay now east of Tsim Sha Tsui. The area is bounded north by Austin Road and in the east by Hong Chong Road and Cheong Wan Road. Edward Chen (politician)
Edward Chen Kwan-yiu (), CBE, GBS, JP (born 14 January 1945, Hong Kong) was the President of Lingnan University of Hong Kong. He is now an Honorary Professor and Distinguished Fellow of the Centre of Asian Studies at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is a non-executive director of Wharf Holdings. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree at the HKU in 1967. He then pursue further studies overseas at Oxford University (Linacre College), where he earned his M.Phil and D.Phil degrees in economics. He returned to HKU to be an Assistant Lecturer and then Chair Professor from 1970 to 1995. He left HKU to take the role of the President of Lingnan University in 1995 until he retired in 2007. Pamela Chan
Pamela Chan Wong-shui, BBS, JP is a consumer rights activist and academic in Hong Kong. Originally a social worker, she was Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Consumer Council (HKCC) from 1985 to 2007. She served, concurrently, as an Executive Member and President (from 1997 to 2000) of the Consumers International. She is an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Professional Legal Education and a member of the PCLL Academic Boards of both the University of Hong Kong (UHK) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The Hong Kong Bar Association (HKBA) is the professional regulatory body for barristers in Hong Kong. The Law Society of Hong Kong is the equivalent association for solicitors in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is a university in Ho Man Tin, Hong Kong. Professor Wong Yuk-shan, SBS, BBS, JP (; born 1950) is a Hong Kong politician and academic. He is the former president of the Open University of Hong Kong, a Hong Kong deputy of the National People's Congress of China and its member of the Committee of the Hong Kong Basic Law. Ceajer Chan Ka-keung (Traditional Chinese: 陳家強) GBS JP (born 1957), also referred to as KC Chan, is the former Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury in the Government of Hong Kong.
