Consultation And Reconciliation Commission
Consultation and Reconciliation Commission () is a Yemeni governmental body formed by President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi on 7 April 2022. The commission's goal is to support the Presidential Leadership Council and work to unify the objectives of the various national forces and components. Membership The commission is composed of fifty members led by Mohammed al-Ghaithi, head of the Southern Transitional Council's foreign affairs department; and vice-chairpersons Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jamilah Ali Rajaa and Akram al-Amiri. On an invitation from the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, the body elected its executive presidency from among its members in its first session. The Politics of Yemen are in an uncertain state due to the Houthi takeover in Yemen. An armed group known as the Houthi movement, Houthis or Ansar Allah seized control of the Northern Yemeni government and announced it would dissolve House of Representatives (Yemen), parliament, as well as install a "presidential council", "transitional national council", and "supreme revolutionary council" to govern the country for an interim period. Yemen (; ar, ٱلْيَمَن, al-Yaman), officially the Republic of Yemen,, ) is a country in Western Asia. Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi
Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi ( ar, عبدربه منصور هادي, translit=ʿAbd Rabbih Manṣūr Hādī Yemeni pronunciation: ; born 1 September 1945) is a Yemeni politician and former field marshal of the Yemeni Armed Forces who served as the president of Yemen from 2012 until 2022, when he stepped down and transferred executive authority to the Presidential Leadership Council, with Rashad al-Alimi as its chairman. He was the vice president to Ali Abdullah Saleh from 1994 to 2012. The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC; ar, مجلس القيادة الرئاسي) is the executive body of Yemen's internationally-recognized government, formed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by a presidential decree on 7 April 2022, to seek a "comprehensive political solution" to the Yemeni civil war. It is headed by Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi and has a membership of eight members. All the powers of the president and vice president have been transferred to this council. Southern Transitional Council
The Southern Transitional Council (STC; ''al-Majlis al-Intiqālī l-Janūbiyy'') is a secessionist organization in South Yemen. The 26 members of the STC include the governors of five southern governorates and two government ministers. It was formed by a faction of the Southern Movement, also known as ''al-Hirak al-Janoubi''. The Southern Movement was established in 2007, during the term of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, and it has called for and worked toward the separation of southern Yemen from the rest of the nation (as it previously was until 1990). Declared on 11 May 2017, the council is headed by the former Governor of Aden, Aidarus al-Zoubaidi, as president, with former minister of state Hani Bin Breik as vice-president. Nayef Al Bakri
Nayef al-Bakri ( ar, نايف صالح البكري; born 29 May 1975) is a Yemeni politician who serves as minister of youth and sports in the cabinet of Prime Minister Khaled Bahah. He was appointed in mid-September 2015, succeeding Rafat Al Akhali. Bakri served briefly as Governor of Aden in 2015. He previously acted as deputy to Governor Abdel-Aziz bin Habtour. After bin Habtour fled Aden amid intense fighting between pro- Houthi fighters and government loyalists, Bakri became the head of the local Resistance Council. He was appointed governor in July.
