Constantin Codrescu
Constantin Codrescu (; 5 September 1931 – 13 November 2022) was a Romanian actor. He appeared in more than thirty films since 1953. Born in Huși, he was raised in northern Bukovina, but had to move to Bucharest after the region was annexed by the Soviet Union in 1940. In the early 1950s he was married to actress Valeria Gagialov, but some strange circumstances involving his mother (who tried to poison his wife) led to divorce. Afterwards he was married for five years to actress Margareta-Yvonne Butuc (later known as Marga Barbu); after divorcing her in 1959, he married Adina Georgescu in 1963, but this marriage also did not last long. In 1972 he found employment at the Hungarian Theatre in Târgu Mureș Târgu Mureș (, ; hu, Marosvásárhely ) is the seat of Mureș County in the historical region of Transylvania, Romania. Order Of The Star Of Romania
The Order of the Star of Romania (Romanian: ''Ordinul Steaua României'') is Romania's highest civil Order and second highest State decoration after the defunct Order of Michael the Brave. It is awarded by the President of Romania. It has five ranks, from lowest to the highest: Officer, Commander, Grand Officer, Grand Cross, and Grand Cross with Collar. History In 1863, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, the Domnitor of the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia, asked the Romanian representative to Paris to contact the then well-known jewellery house Krétly, to manufacture a state decoration. Krétly presented a model, which was immediately accepted by the domnitor, and based on his agreement, 1,000 pieces of the order were made. Vlad ÈšepeÈ™ (film)
''Vlad Țepeș'' is a 1979 Romanian historical drama film directed by Doru Năstase. The film recounts the story of Vlad the Impaler (also known as Vlad Dracula), the mid-15th century Voivode of Wallachia, and his fights with the Ottoman Turks on the battlefield and with the Boyars in his court. Commissioned by the Communist authorities, the movie promoted the line that Nicolae Ceaușescu had drawn through the July Theses of 1971, by projecting the image of a strong, authoritarian leader who is right with the people. It also had the purpose to wash the name of the voivode from the shame caused by Bram Stoker's novel. The fabrication of the myth of Dracula is highlighted in the film: it was built by outside elements (on the one hand, the Saxon and Szekler merchants from Brașov, and on the other, the enemies of Wallachia, the Turks), but also by the wicked and traitorous boyars.
