Connor Jessup
Connor William Jessup (born June 23, 1994) is a Canadian actor, writer, and director. He is known for his roles as Ben Mason on the TNT science fiction television series '' Falling Skies'' (2011–2015), Taylor Blaine and Coy Henson in the ABC anthology series '' American Crime'' (2016–2017), and Tyler Locke in the Netflix series ''Locke & Key'' (2020–2022). He has also starred in feature films, most notably in the award-winning '' Blackbird'' (2012) and '' Closet Monster'' (2015). Career Acting Jessup began acting at the age of 11 as a child actor. After various early jobs, including a role in a stage adaptation of ''The Full Monty'', Jessup got a lead role in the children's television series ''The Saddle Club'', for which he is also credited with conceptualizing the plot of one episode. Amy George is a 2011 Canadian microbudget film written, produced and directed by Yonah Lewis and Calvin Thomas. The film tells the story of the 13-year-old Jesse who wants to be an artist, but believes that his mundane middle class life has left him unprepared. After reading a book on what it takes to be a "true-artist", he sets out looking for risk, ecstasy, wildness and women. 2015 Toronto International Film Festival
The 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival was held from 10 to 20 September 2015. On 28 July 2015 the first wave of films to be screened at the Festival was announced. Jean-Marc Vallée's ''Demolition'' starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts was the opening night film; '' Mr. Right'' by Paco Cabezas was the closing night film. The year's edition included two new sections called Platform and Primetime. At Platform, twelve films will be screened in front of a jury, with the best film of the program winning the C$25,000 Platform Prize. Toronto International Film Festival Award For Best Canadian First Feature Film
The Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film is an annual film award, presented by the Toronto International Film Festival to a film judged to be the best Canadian feature film made by a first-time director. As of 2017, the award is sponsored by the City of Toronto government and thus known as the "City of Toronto Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film". As with all of TIFF's juried awards, the jury has the discretion to grant one or more honorable mentions in addition to the main award winner. A school shooting is an attack at an educational institution, such as a primary school, secondary school, high school or university, involving the use of firearms. Many school shootings are also categorized as mass shootings due to multiple casualties.
