Connah's Quay Nomads F.C.
Connah's Quay Nomads Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl-droed Cei Connah) is a Welsh professional association football, football club based in Connah's Quay, Flintshire. They play in the Cymru Premier. The club was founded in 1946 as Connah's Quay Juniors and adopted the Connah's Quay Nomads F.C. name in 1951. The club's home ground is at Deeside Stadium on Kelsterton Road ( cy, Stadiwm Glannau'r Dyfrdwy) in Connah's Quay, and accommodates 1,500 spectators (500 seated). For the 2006–07 season, they temporarily played their home games in Flint, Flintshire, Flint due to drainage problems with the Deeside Stadium pitch. In April 2013, the club announced that starting with the 2013–14 season, they would be using an all red home kit, accompanied by an all yellow away kit to complement the new logo which includes the traditional colours used in the Connah's Quay Town crest. Deeside Stadium
Deeside Stadium ( cy, Stadiwm Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a multi-sport stadium located in Connah's Quay, Deeside. It is the home stadium to Welsh Premier League side Connah's Quay Nomads F.C., Connah's Quay Nomads as well as Deeside Athletics Club. History The stadium was opened in 1998 and became home to Connah's Quay who moved from their previous venue, the Halfway Ground. In 2006, the Nomads spent time playing at Flint Town United F.C., Flint Town's Cae-Y-Castell ground as the pitch at Deeside underwent renovations. Shortly afterwards, they began planning to move into a new purpose built ground, although these plans never came to fruition. Layout The stadium features one raised stand containing 500 seats. Lying next to it is a small disabled shelter. Opposite the stand is a two-storey media centre and TV gantry. Deeside College (Welsh: ''Coleg Glannau Dyfrdwy'') (now part of Coleg Cambria) is located in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, North Wales. It was formerly a further education colle.g in August 2013 to create the college for North East Wales, one of the largest UK colleges. Coleg Cambria consists of six campuses including Deeside, Yale Grove Park, Yale Bersham Road, Llysfasi, Northop and Wrexham Training. Rhys James Evitt-Healey (born 6 December 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Watford. Career Connah's Quay Nomads Healey started his career with Connah's Quay Nomads, joining their youth setup at Under-16 level in 2009. He made his first team debut for the club as a substitute during a 6–1 victory on the opening Cymru Alliance match of the 2011–12 season against Caersws and made 10 league appearances as the club won promotion to the Welsh Premier League. Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; ) is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. Cymru Alliance
The Cymru Alliance League (known for sponsorship reasons as Huws Gray Alliance) was a football league in north and central Wales which formed the second level of the Welsh football league system. From the 2019/20 season onwards, it was replaced by the Cymru North. If the team which finished top of the league held a Domestic Licence, it could apply for promotion to the Welsh Premier League and was replaced by one of the bottom two teams in the Welsh Premier League. If the league champions did not hold a Domestic Licence, then the team which finished second, if in possession of a Domestic Licence, could be promoted instead. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League. Mark McGregor
Mark Dale Thomas McGregor (born 16 February 1977) is an English former footballer who played as a defender who is the assistant manager of Runcorn Town. He played 498 games in a 13-year career in the Football League, mostly in the third tier. He started his career at Wrexham in 1995, and made 288 league and cup appearances in his six years for the Welsh club, before he signed with Burnley. In July 2004 he moved from Burnley to Blackpool.
