Conflict (American TV Series)
''Conflict'' is a 1956 to 1957 American ABC television series that was a successor to the earlier ''Warner Bros. Presents''. Although ''Conflict'' assumed the same time slot as its predecessor, the two do not share the same format. Where ''Warner Bros. Presents'' had been a wheel series,''Warner Bros. Presents'' and ''Conflict'' at The Classic TV Archive (site currently blacklisted by Wikipedia's spam filters) ''Conflict'' was fully an anthological series. However, since ''Cheyenne'' and ''Conflict'' alternated the Tuesday 7:30 P.M. time slot, the net effect was that of a proper wheel series—even though ''Cheyenne'' and ''Conflict'' were not under the same umbrella title. Karen Sharpe
Karen Kay Sharpe (born September 20, 1934) is an American film and television actress. She is known for playing Laura Thomas in the American western television series ''Johnny Ringo''. Life and career Sharpe was born in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Dorothy Shrout and Kirk Howard Sharpe. Her father was a businessman and oilman. She was an ice skater in Hollywood, California and a student at the Hollywood Professional School. She studied dancing with ballet dancer and choreographer Adolph Bolm in Los Angeles, California. Sharpe had unsuccessful screen tests while she worked as a model. After she was discovered by a talent scout, she began her career in 1952, starring in the film ''Army Bound''. Will Hutchins
Will Hutchins (born Marshall Lowell Hutchason; May 5, 1930) is an American actor most noted for playing the lead role of the young lawyer Tom Brewster, in the Western television series ''Sugarfoot'', which aired on ABC from 1957 to 1961 for 69 episodes. Early life Hutchins was born in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. As a child, he visited the location filming of ''Never Give a Sucker an Even Break'' and made his first appearance as an extra in a crowd. He attended Pomona College in Claremont, California, where he majored in Greek drama. He also studied at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he enrolled in cinema classes. During the Korean War, he served for two years in the United States Army Signal Corps as a cryptographer in Paris, serving as a Corporal with SHAPE. ''Sugarfoot'' is an American Western television series that aired for 69 episodes on ABC from 1957-1961 on Tuesday nights on a "shared" slot basis – rotating with ''Cheyenne'' (first season); ''Cheyenne'' and ''Bronco'' (second season); and ''Bronco'' (third season). The Warner Bros. production stars Will Hutchins as Tom Brewster, an Easterner who comes to the Oklahoma Territory to become a lawyer. Brewster was a correspondence-school student whose apparent lack of cowboy skills earned him the nickname "Sugarfoot", a designation even below that of a tenderfoot. Jokūbas Bernardas Šernas (30 July 1925 – 3 July 2015), commonly known as Jacques Sernas and sometimes credited as Jack Sernas, was a Lithuanian-born French actor with an international film career. Biography He was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, the son of Jokūbas Šernas, a signatory of the 1918 Act of Independence of Lithuania, who died when Sernas was one year old. Gloria Talbott (February 7, 1931 – September 19, 2000) was an American film and television actress. Early life and career Gloria Maude Talbott was born in Glendale, California. Charles Sherman Ruggles (February 8, 1886 – December 23, 1970) was an American comic character actor. In a career spanning six decades, Ruggles appeared in close to 100 feature films, often in mild-mannered and comic roles.
