Conal Platt
Conal James Platt (born 14 October 1986) is a semi-professional footballer who plays as a forward. He signed for Waverley Park FC in 2021 and won league 2 promotion with the mighty greens led by Paul Hopkins. Early life Platt has one older brother and two younger sisters. He is eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland due to his Irish descent from his grandfather, Timothy Bryan. He was discovered by a Liverpool scout whilst playing for Fulwood and Cadley boys football club. Career He played for Preston Schoolboys aged 14–15, one of the most successful schoolboy teams Preston ever had. Aged 16 he went on to play for Lancashire Schools, Northwest Counties Schools and was finally selected for the English Schools squad (teams are selected on where you go school not on nationality). Jim Harvey
James Harvey (born 2 May 1958) is a Northern Irish football manager and former player. Playing career As a player, Harvey began his career at Glenavon in his hometown of Lurgan, before joining Arsenal in 1977. He made only three Football League appearances and one UEFA Cup appearance in three years, with his debut coming against Derby County on 9 May 1978. Harvey moved to Hereford United in 1980, where he made 278 league appearances. He had a brief spell at Bristol City and then on loan to Wrexham, before moving to Tranmere Rovers in 1987; there he played 239 matches, scoring 19 goals, and became club captain. At Tranmere, he was the playmaker for a team who gained two promotions and won the Football League Trophy final in 1990. Gary Simpson (footballer Born 1961)
Gary Simpson (born 11 April 1961) is an English football manager and former player. As a player, he was a midfielder. He played for Boston United and Altrincham amongst other clubs. He acted as a coach and assistant to Keith Alexander at a number of Football League clubs, and upon Alexander's death in March 2010 he replaced him as manager at Macclesfield Town until March 2012. He has also had spells as manager of Gainsborough Trinity and Lincoln City, and as assistant manager of Barrow. Playing career Simpson started his career with Stoke City, making more than 100 reserve team appearances, before joining Boston United in the summer of 1980.
