''Comunità'' (Italian: ''Community'') was a cultural magazine published in Rome, Italy. The magazine was in circulation between 1946 and 1960. History and profile ''Comunità'' was established by Adriano Olivetti in 1946. It was the cultural publication of the Community Movement, which was also founded by Olivetti. The magazine was based in Rome and was published by Edizioni di Comunità on a weekly basis. It was also headquartered in Milan and was published on a bimonthly basis in the mid-1950s. Adriano Olivetti (11 April 1901 – 27 February 1960) was an Italian engineer, politician, and industrialist whose entrepreneurial activity thrived on the idea that profit should be reinvested for the benefits of the whole society. He was son of the founder of Olivetti, Camillo Olivetti, and Luisa Revel, the daughter of a prominent Waldensian pastor and scholar. Adriano Olivetti was known worldwide during his lifetime as the Italian manufacturer of Olivetti typewriters, calculators, and computers. Olivetti was an entrepreneur and innovator who transformed shop-like operations into a modern factory. In Italy there are many magazines. Following the end of World War II the number of weekly magazines significantly expanded. From 1970 feminist magazines began to increase in number in the country. The number of consumer magazines was 975 in 1995 and 782 in 2004. There are also Catholic magazines and newspapers in the country. A total of fifty-eight Catholic magazines was launched between 1867 and 1922. From 1923 to 1943, the period of the Italian fascism, Fascist Regime, only ten new Catholic magazines was started. The period from 1943 to the end of the Second Vatican Council thirty-three new magazines were established. Until 2010 an additional eighty-six Catholic magazines were founded.
