Computer City (song)
is a song recorded by Japanese girl group Perfume for their first greatest hits compilation, '' Perfume: Complete Best'' (2006). It was written, composed, arranged, and produced by Japanese musician and Capsule member Yasutaka Nakata. The single also included the B-side track "Perfume", which appeared on the parent album. It premiered on January 11, 2006 as the second single from the album in Japan. It was also released on June 19, 2013 through European and Oceanic regions, and June 25 in North America. Musically, "Computer City" is a technopop song, influenced by electronic music. Upon its release, the track garnered generally favourable reviews from music critics. Some critics highlighted the song as one of Perfume's best singles, and commended the composition. It achieved minor success in Japan, peaking at number 45 on the Oricon Singles Chart and 35 on TBS' Count Down TV chart. Perfume (Japanese Band)
is a Japanese pop girl group from Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, consisting of Ayano Omoto ("Nocchi"), Yuka Kashino ("KASHIYUKA") and Ayaka Nishiwaki ("a-chan"). The group has been signed with Amuse, Inc. since 2003 and with Universal Music Group since 2012. The group was formed in early 2000 inside the young talent academy Actor's School Hiroshima and debuted with their first Hiroshima-local single "Omajinai Perori" released on March 21, 2002. A year later they moved to Tokyo, started to work with Capsule's producer Yasutaka Nakata, and released their first nationwide indie single, "Sweet Donuts" on August 6, 2003. Count Down TV
(also known as CDTV) is a Japanese late-night music television program, broadcast on TBS since 1993. The program is shown weekly, and features a Japanese music video hit chart countdown, live performances from musicians and music information. It is presented by three CGI-animated hosts. History The show was created after a gap the broadcast of the long-run TBS countdown show The Best Ten (1978–1989). A top 100 music countdown show called (presented by Kuniko Tamada and Masayuki Watanabe) begun airing on TBS networks from October 1992, however received low ratings in its targeted youth market (due to its early airing time, 8pm, and the at average 10pm returning home time of the target audience). Polyrhythm (song)
is a song by Perfume, released as the second single from their second album '' Game'' and 10th overall, as well as the first track on their third compilation album ''Love the World''. Appropriately, the song's bridge is polyrhythmic, incorporating 5/8, 6/8 in the vocals, common time (4/4) and 3/2 in the drums. Tokuma Japan Communications originally requested for the bridge of the song to be removed for its atypical nature; a concession was reached by including a radio edit known as the "Extra Short Edit" on the single, which removes the bridge while the vocoded backing vocal on the near-end of the song (at 3:02) is half-distorted. The song was used for the Kankyō Recycle Campaign by NHK. The single has two editions: a CD only version and CD+DVD version. Yuka Kashino
(born 23 December 1988), nicknamed , is a Japanese singer and dancer. She is known as one of the members of the electropop group Perfume. Biography Kashino was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan, where she attended Actor's School Hiroshima with friends and current Perfume members Ayaka Nishiwaki and Ayano Ōmoto. She and Nishiwaki are the two original members of Perfume. Kashino and Nishiwaki formed Perfume in 2001 with former member Yūka Kawashima, who left shortly after to focus on her schoolwork. Before Ōmoto joined Perfume after being asked by Nishiwaki, the two had not met. Kashino graduated from Horikoshi High School. She subsequently enrolled into J. F.
