Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
The Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) program is a highly selective graduate fellowship program sponsored by the United States Department of Energy and administered by the Krell Institute. Krell Institute
The Krell Institute is a 501(3)(c) corporation located in Ames, Iowa near Iowa State University. The organization was founded in 1997 in support of the US Department of Energy's Computational Science Graduate Fellowship program (CSGF), and has since grown to include a number of other US government contracts towards its mission of serving the science, technology, and education communities. Krell is overseen by a four-member board of directors, including the company's President, Jim Corones. It is named for the Krell race in the 1956 science-fiction movie Forbidden Planet. Kristen Grauman
Kristen Lorraine Grauman is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin on leave as a research scientist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR). She works on computer vision and machine learning. Early life and education Grauman studied computer science at Boston College, graduating summa cum laude in 2001. She joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her postgraduate studies, earning a Master of Science degree in 2003 followed by a PhD in 2006 supervised by Trevor Darrell. During her PhD Grauman worked as a research intern at Intel and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. DoD NDSEG Fellowship
The Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (DoD NDSEG) is a prestigious fellowship awarded annually to U.S. citizens pursuing doctoral degrees in science and engineering disciplines.
