Compañeros (film)
''Compañeros'' ( es, Vamos a matar compañeros (sic), lit=Let's Kill, Companions!) is a 1970 Zapata Western buddy comedy film directed by Sergio Corbucci. The film stars Franco Nero, Tomas Milian, Jack Palance and Fernando Rey. The soundtrack for the film was written by Ennio Morricone. Plot During the Mexican Revolution, a peasant named El Vasco (Milian) starts a revolt in his town of San Bernardino by killing the army colonel in charge. Rebel leader and self-appointed General Mongo (Bódalo) soon arrives on the scene and hires El Vasco for his revolutionary gang. However, Mongo is more interested in gaining fortune for himself than for his country. Yodlaf Peterson (Nero), a Swedish mercenary arrives in Mexico to sell guns to General Mongo. Sergio Corbucci
Sergio Corbucci (; 6 December 1926 – 1 December 1990) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and producer. He directed both very violent Spaghetti Westerns and bloodless Bud Spencer and Terence Hill action comedies. He is the older brother of screenwriter and film director Bruno Corbucci. Biography Early career Corbucci was born in Rome. He started his career by directing mostly low-budget sword and sandal movies. Among his first Spaghetti Westerns were the films ''Grand Canyon Massacre'' (1964), which he co-directed (under the pseudonym, Stanley Corbett) with Albert Band, as well as '' Minnesota Clay'' (1964), his first solo directed Spaghetti Western. Lorenzo Robledo
Lorenzo Robledo (3 July 1918 – September 2006) was a Spanish film actor, who made over 85 appearances in film between 1956 and 1982. He is a familiar face in Italian westerns, having appeared in a total of 32 Spaghetti Western films throughout the 1960s and early 1970s. Robledo is probably best known for his roles in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western films of the 1960s and 1970s, portraying minor characters in the trilogy of films ''A Fistful of Dollars'' (1964), ''For a Few Dollars More'' (1965), ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' (1966), and ''Once Upon a Time in the West'' in 1968. He acted in many other westerns prolifically including the tortured sheriff in ''Four of the Apocalypse'' (1975). Pablo García González, known as Tito García (1931–2003) was a Spanish actor. Biography Working as a torero in his youth, he played a minor role in ''Pelusa'' (1961). After this, he intended to dedicate himself to an acting career, and came to be one of the most frequently featured supporting actor in the Spanish cinema of the 1960s and 1970s. Gerard Tichy (also Gérard Tichy, Gerhard Tichi and Gerardo Tichy, 11 March 1920 – 11 April 1992) was a Spanish actor of German descent, who appeared in numerous movies, including several international productions. He was born in Weißenfels, Germany, on 11 March 1920, and died in Madrid, Spain, on 11 April 1992. Biography Tichy participated in World War II and held the rank of a lieutenant when it ended. Eduardo Martínez Fajardo (14 August 1924 – 4 July 2019) was a Spanish film actor born in Meis (Pontevedra), Spain. He appeared in 183 films, 75 plays and made 2,000 television appearances between 1947 and 2002.
