Communist Parties In Parliament
The following is a list of political parties presently espousing a variety of socialism which have representation in national parliaments, grouped by states in which they operate. The list does not contain parties previously represented in parliaments, nor social democratic parties. 178 socialist, communist and anti-capitalist parties have been elected worldwide to parliament in 83 different recognized and non-recognized states. A political party is an organization that coordinates candidates to compete in a particular country's elections. It is common for the members of a party to hold similar ideas about politics, and parties may promote specific political ideology, ideological or policy goals. Political parties have become a major part of the politics of almost every country, as modern party organizations developed and spread around the world over the last few centuries. It is extremely rare for a country to have Non-partisan democracy, no political parties. Some countries have Single-party state, only one political party while others have Multi-party system, several. Parties are important in the politics of autocracies as well as democracies, though usually democracies have more political parties than autocracies. 2021 Algerian Legislative Election
Snap parliamentary elections were held in Algeria on 12 June 2021 to elect all 407 members of the People's National Assembly. Initially expected for 2022, the elections were held early in the context of a constitutional amendment propagated by a referendum in November 2020. Democratic socialism is a Left-wing politics, left-wing political philosophy that supports political democracy and some form of a socially owned economy, with a particular emphasis on economic democracy, workplace democracy, and workers' self-management within a market socialist economy or an alternative form of a decentralised planned socialist economy. Democratic socialists argue that capitalism is inherently incompatible with the values of freedom, Egalitarianism, equality, and solidarity and that these Ideal (ethics), ideals can only be achieved through the realisation of a socialist society. Solidary Party
The Solidary Party ( es, Partido Solidario; PSOL) is a co-operatist political party in Argentina, founded by banker and politician Carlos Heller in 2007. The Union for the Homeland ( es, Unión por la Patria, UP) is a centre-left political and electoral coalition of Peronist political parties in Argentina, formed to compete in the 2023 general election. Patria Grande Front
The Patria Grande Front ( es, Frente Patria Grande) is a leftist political front in Argentina founded by activist and social leader Juan Grabois. It was founded in October 2018, ahead of the 2019 Argentine general election, in support of the candidacy of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and in opposition to the government of Mauricio Macri. As of October 2020 it did not count with official party status nationwide. General elections are scheduled to be held in Argentina on 22 October 2023, to elect the president, vice president, members of the national congress and the governors of most provinces. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. The Workers' Party ( es, Partido Obrero, PO) is an Argentine Trotskyist political party. It is the largest national section of the Co-ordinating Committee for the Refoundation of the Fourth International. In the 2009 legislative election, the party received 1.1% of the vote. Trotskyism
Trotskyism is the political ideology and branch of Marxism developed by Ukrainian-Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky and some other members of the Left Opposition and Fourth International.
