Communion (book)
''Communion: A True Story'' is a book by American ufologist and Horror fiction, horror author Whitley Strieber that was first published in February 1987. The book is based on the experiences of Whitley Strieber, who experiences "lost time" and terrifying flashback (psychology), flashbacks, which hypnosis undertaken by Budd Hopkins later links to an alleged encounter with aliens. ''Communion'' was a nonfiction best seller for six months in 1987. The book was later made into Communion (1989 film), a film directed by Philippe Mora and starring Christopher Walken as Strieber and Lindsay Crouse as his wife, Anne Strieber, Anne. A 2008 trade paperback edition presents a new preface by the author. Strieber compares the "familiar" being he sees, whom he describes as female, to the Sumerian religion, Sumerian goddess Ishtar. Whitley Strieber
Louis Whitley Strieber (; born June 13, 1945) is an American writer best known for his horror novels ''The Wolfen'' and '' The Hunger'' and for '' Communion'', a non-fiction account of his alleged experiences with non-human entities. He has maintained a dual career of author of fiction and advocate of paranormal concepts through his best-selling non-fiction books, his Unknown Country web site, and his podcast, Dreamland. Early life and education Strieber was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Kathleen Mary (Drought) and Karl Strieber, a lawyer. He attended Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, Texas. He was educated at the University of Texas at Austin and the London School of Film Technique, graduating from each in 1968. He then worked for several advertising firms in New York City, rising to the level of vice president before leaving in 1977 to pursue a writing career. She is also associated with beauty, sex, divine justice, and political power. ''In Search of Truth'' is the third studio album and first concept album by Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey. Released on 13 November 2001 through Inside Out Music, it is the first album to feature guitarist Henrik Danhage and bassist Michael HÃ¥kansson, as well as the only one to feature keyboardist Sven Karlsson. Recording and concept The album was recorded at Los Angered Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden from January to April 2001. Production was handled by Andy LaRocque, who had produced all the band's previous albums. LaRocque also contributed musically; playing slide guitar. Evergrey is a Swedish progressive metal band from Gothenburg. History Evergrey was formed in 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden as a progressive power metal band, in contrast to the melodic death metal that Gothenburg is known for. Since then, the band's lyrics have always been of the darker sort, and the same can be said of the band's imagery. ''The Dark Discovery'' was recorded in 1996 and released in 1998, and '' Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy'' was recorded and released in 1999. ''Document #5'' is the first full length album by hardcore punk band Pg. 99, released in 2000 through Reptilian Records. The album was released on vinyl and CD formats, the vinyl version was released in limited quantities, with 666 copies made. 200 copies were on grey marble vinyl, while the rest were standard black vinyl. Reptillian Records announced that the album would be reissued on LP format in the summer of 2015, however, its release date was pushed back to October 27, 2017 to coincide with the band's reunion tour. The reissue was released on compact disc, vinyl, and digital formats.
