Communications And Media Studies (CMS), Tufts University
The Film and Media Studies program (FMS) at Tufts University, formerly known as Communications and Media Studies (CMS), is the university's largest interdisciplinary minor program. It offers undergraduate majors and minors in Film and Media Studies and is affiliated with the Experimental College at Tufts. Since 1997, FMS has awarded minors to nearly 1000 students. Additionally, FMS supports student internships for academic credit in various media companies globally. FMS also sponsors awards and events, such as The Edward R. Murrow Forum on Issues in Journalism, The Eliot-Pearson Awards for Excellence in Children’s Media, and the P.T. Barnum Awards for Excellence in Entertainment.
