Communauté De Communes De Parthenay-Gâtine
The Communauté de communes de Parthenay-Gâtine is the ''communauté de communes'', an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Parthenay. It is located in the Deux-Sèvres departments of France, department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine regions of France, region, western France. It was created in January 2014 by the merger of the former Communauté de communes de Parthenay with 3 other former ''communautés de communes''. Its seat is Parthenay.CC de Parthenay-Gâtine (N° SIREN : 200041333)

Parthenay
Parthenay () is an ancient fortified town and Communes of France, ''commune'' in the Deux-Sèvres Departments of France, department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regions of France, region in western France. It is sited on a rocky spur that is surrounded on two sides by the Thouet, River Thouet, and is the Subprefectures in France, sub-prefecture of the Arrondissement of Parthenay, Parthenay Arrondissements of France, ''arrondissement''. It is situated some north of Niort, west of Poitiers, south-east of Nantes, and south-west of Paris. Each July, Parthenay hosts the ''Festival Ludique International de Parthenay'', otherwise known as the ''Festival de Jeux'' or ''FLIP'', in which the town's streets and squares are filled with games of many types. Gourgé
Gourgé () is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. It is located at a distance from Parthenay. Description The municipality, extending to 50.4 km2, had 918 inhabitants at the last census in 2006. With a density of 18.2 inhabitants per square km, Gourgé has experienced a rise of 0.1% in its population since 1999. Surrounded by the communes of Lhoumois, Lageon and Aubigny, Gourgé is located 27 km to the south-east of Bressuire, the largest city of the area. The village is at an altitude of 127 meters. The Thouet and Cebron rivers are the main water courses in the village. Gourgé's inhabitants are called Gourgéens and Gourgéennes. The village's mayor is Gilles Hamel. The village is located on one of the Compostella routes. It is also a starting point for a number of cycle and walking routes along the Thouet valley.
