Communauté De Communes Somme Sud-Ouest
The Communauté de communes Somme-Sud-Ouest is a ''communauté de communes'' in the Somme ''département'' and in the Hauts-de-France ''région'' of France. It was formed on 1 January 2017 by the merger of the former Communauté de communes du Contynois, the Communauté de communes de la Région d'Oisemont and the Communauté de communes du Sud-Ouest Amiénois. Poix-de-Picardie
Poix-de-Picardie (, literally ''Poix of Picardy''; pcd, Poé-d’Picardie) is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. Geography The commune is situated at the junction of the N1 and N29 roads, some southwest of Amiens, at the bottom of a rather steep-sided valley, confined by Normandy to the south and Picardy to the north. The commune has rail access at the Poix-de-Picardie station, on the Rouen to Amiens line. Population Places of interest * The sixteenth century church of Saint-Denis’ priory. In flamboyant Gothic style, the base of the tower dates from the twelfth century. Before becoming the parish church, it was the chapel of the château. * Military cemetery. Beaucamps-le-Vieux
Beaucamps-le-Vieux (; Picard: ''Bieucamp'') is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. Geography The commune is situated at the junction of the D96, D496 and D211 roads, from the banks of the Bresle, the border of the departments of the Somme and Seine-Maritime. Population History In 1891, Beaucamps-le-Vieux became the provisional terminal of the Somme regional railway, coming from Amiens, then later reaching Aumale in 1901 and eventually Envermeu in 1906. The line closed to passengers in 1940, and to all traffic in 1947. The train station still stands, but is in private ownership.
