Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (ARA; ; frp, Ôvèrgne-Rôno-Ârpes; oc, Auvèrnhe Ròse Aups; it, Alvernia-Rodano-Alpi) is a region in southeast-central France created by the 2014 territorial reform of French regions; it resulted from the merger of Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes. Saint-Thibaud-de-Couz () is a commune of the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Geography The village of Saint-Thibaud-de-Couz is located in the middle valley of the Hyères between Mont Grêle (1425 m) and Mont Outheran (1,676 m). Forests cover half of the township. Saint-Jean-de-Couz
Saint-Jean-de-Couz is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Geography Saint-Jean-de-Couz is located at the level of the col de Couz (630m) along the road D1006 which winds through the ''Couz valley'' between Saint-Thibaud-de-Couz north and Saint-Christophe-la-Grotte south. The village lies at the junction with the D45 road that climbs the slopes of La Cochette (1,617m), east. The Cochette ridge separates the township to Entremont-le-Vieux. The township is part of the Parc Naturel Régional de Chartreuse. The stream of Hyères, which has its source in the col des Égaux on the boundary township of Corbel, flows along the RD45 before following the Couz valley and RD1006 towards Chambéry.
