Commodore Rock
''Commodore Rock'' is the second EP by English electronic band Ladytron. It was released in June 2000 by Invicta Hi-Fi Records (UK) and Emperor Norton (US) on CD and 12" formats. A 10" vinyl special edition was released by French label Tricadel in the same year. This edition included Ladytron's debut single "He Took Her To a Movie" remixed by Tricadel's owner Bertrand Burgalat and the instrumental "Olivetti Jerk". "Playgirl" was sung by Helen Marnie. "Commodore Rock" and "Paco!" were sung by Mira Aroyo. "Miss Black" and "Olivetti Jerk" are instrumentals. "Playgirl", "Commodore Rock" and "Paco!" were later included on the Ladytron's debut album ''604''. Daniel Hunt is credited for EP's design, Reuben Wu for EP's illustration and Mira Aroyo for photography. Reception ''Commodore Rock'' received a 4/5 rating from Allmusic. Ladytron
Ladytron are a largely British electronic band formed in Liverpool in 1999. The group consists of Helen Marnie (lead vocals, synthesizers), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synthesizers), Daniel Hunt (synthesizers, guitar, vocals), and Reuben Wu (synthesizers). They have released six studio albums: ''604'' (2001), ''Light & Magic'' (2002), ''Witching Hour'' (2005), ''Velocifero'' (2008), ''Gravity the Seducer'' (2011) and ''Ladytron'' (2019) - the seventh, ''Time's Arrow'' is due in January 2023. Daniel Hunt
Daniel Hunt (born 25 July 1974) is an English musician, songwriter and producer. He is a founding member, principal songwriter and producer of the electronic band Ladytron. Biography Hunt met Reuben Wu in Liverpool in 1995 and formed Ladytron with him in 1999, along with Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie. In 2003, Hunt set up the Liverpool club, Evol and subsequently collaborated in 2005 on the celebrated Korova bar in the city. In addition to the band, he also DJ's around the world both solo and with other band members. His vocals are featured in the Ladytron' songs "International Dateline" and "Versus". Hunt has produced other artists such as Christina Aguilera, Marina Gasolina and Niue, and remixed Dave Gahan, Soulwax, Placebo, Simian, Paul Weller and Blondie. Stereolab
Stereolab are an Anglo- French avant-pop band formed in London in 1990. Led by the songwriting team of Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier, the group's music combines influences from krautrock, lounge and 1960s pop music, often incorporating a repetitive motorik beat with heavy use of vintage electronic keyboards and female vocals sung in English and French. Their lyrics have political and philosophical themes influenced by the Surrealist and Situationist movements. On stage, they play in a more feedback-driven and guitar-oriented style. The Moog synthesizer is a modular synthesizer developed by the American engineer Robert Moog. Moog debuted it in 1964, and Moog's company R. A. Moog Co. (later known as Moog Music) produced numerous models from 1965 to 1981, and again from 2014.
