Commission Scolaire De Montréal
The Commission scolaire de Montréal (CSM ''Montreal school board''), was a board from 1998 until 2020, as a result of a law passed by the Quebec government that changed the school board system from religious denomination to linguistic denomination. Its main predecessor is the Montreal Catholic School Commission (''Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal'' or CÉCM) which was composed of both French and English Roman Catholic schools and had been in operation for over 150 years. The CSDM operated until 2020 129 elementary schools, 37 secondary schools, 13 adult education centres, and 9 vocational training centres and 28 schooling service centres. 2000's issues School board elections took place on Sunday, November 2, 2014. École secondaire Sophie-Barat is a Francophone public co-educational secondary school located in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough in Montreal, Quebec. It is a part of the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM). About the school Most people use the acronym ÉIM (EIM) or ÉIMS (EIMS) when referring to the school. Its principal was Julie Duchesne until 2020 when it became Luc Claude. The school is situated near the Westmount Public Library. The school was opened in 1988 and is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. The school uniform consists of a choice of red or grey polos and of a marine-black vest or jacket.
