The Commander of the Brazilian Air Force () is the head of the Brazilian Air Force and the leader of its Aeronautics Command (''Comando da Aeronáutica'' or COMAer). The Commander holds the rank of ''Military ranks of Brazil, Tenente-Brigadeiro-do-Ar'' (lit. Air Lieutenant Brigadier, a 4 star rank), is appointed by the President and reports directly to the Minister of Defence (Brazil), Brazilian Minister of Defence. Carlos de Almeida Baptista Júnior (born in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian military, Lieutenant-Brigadier of the Air, and Commander of the Brazilian Air Force. Baptista Júnior became commander in April 2021, replacing Antonio Carlos Moretti Bermudez. João Fernandes Campos Café Filho (; 3 February 1899 – 20 February 1970) was a Brazilian politician who served as the 18th president of Brazil, taking office upon the suicide of president Getúlio Vargas. João Belchior Marques Goulart (1 March 1919 – 6 December 1976), commonly known as Jango, was a Brazilian politician who served as the 24th president of Brazil until a military coup d'état deposed him on 1 April 1964. Pascoal Ranieri Mazzilli (; 27 April 1910 – 21 April 1975) was a Brazilian politician who served as Federal Deputy from 1951 to 1967 and President of the Chamber of Deputies (speaker of the house) from 1958 to 1965.
