Peter Mbogo Njiru
Lieutenant General Peter Mbogo Njiru, is a Kenyan military officer, who serves as the Commander, Kenya Army, since July 2022. The Kenya Army is a service branch of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). Before his present assignment, General Njiru was the commander of the Kenya Joint Command and Staff College, at the rank of Major General. Jeremiah Kianga
Jeremiah Mutinda Kianga (born 1950) is a former Kenyan Army Commander and Chief of the General Staff. He is known for having introduced the principle of Kaizen-continuous development for all officers in the Kenya Defence Forces. During his tenure he established collaborations with local universities to enable officers pursue further studies under the Defence Forces Continuous Education Programme. Early life General Kianga was born on 26 April 1950 in Makueni District and finished his high school education at Machakos Secondary School in 1970. General Robert K Kibochi, is a Kenyan military officer. From May 2020 to date, he is the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), the highest appointment in the Kenyan armed forces. The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) is the highest-ranking military officer in the Kenya Defence Forces and the principal military adviser to the President of Kenya and the National Security Council. The CDF outranks all respective heads of each service branch and has operational command authority over the service branches. He leads the meetings and coordinates the efforts of the Service Commander, comprising the CDF, the Commander of the Kenya Army and Kenya Air Force, Kenya Navy and the Commandant of Military Intelligence. The CDF has offices in Ulinzi House. Following the 2010 Constitution, the Chief of the General Staff was replaced with the Chief of the Defence Forces. General Mohamud Haji Mohamed Barrow ( so, Maxamuud Maxamed) is a former Kenyan military commander, and was Chief of General Staff of the Kenyan military and Commander Kenya Army. Career Mohamed was born to an ethnic Somali community in northeastern Kenya. His younger brother Hussein Maalim Mohamed was Kenya's Minister of State in the office of the presidency, the first Somali to be appointed to the cabinet. He was Commander Kenya Army from 1979 to 1981. On 1 August 1982, Mohamed commanded Kenyan military and police forces in a successful suppression of a coup d'état attempt against then President of Kenya Daniel arap Moi. Jackson Mulinge
Jackson Kimeu Mulinge was a Kenyan military officer, and Chief of the General Staff in the 1980s. He was the longest serving head of Kenya's Armed Forces and the first Kenyan military officer to attain the rank of four-star general. Early life Mulinge was born in 1924 in Kathiani, present-day Machakos County. He was educated at the African Inland Mission school in Mumbuni and was randomly selected by a colonial military officer due to his well-built physique.
