Comité Européen des groupements de constructeurs du machinisme agricole (CEMA aisbl) is the European association representing the agricultural machinery industry in Europe. Introduction CEMA is a European umbrella organization, composed of 11 national member associations. The CEMA network represents both large multinational companies and numerous European SMEs active in the sector, producing a large range of machines that cover any activity in the field from seeding to harvesting, as well as equipment for livestock management. The agricultural machinery industry in Europe comprises about 7,000 manufacturers, producing more than 450 different types of machines with an annual turnover of about €40 billion (EU28 - 2016) and 150,000 direct employees. Digital agriculture, sometimes known as smart farming or e-agriculture, is tools that digitally collect, store, analyze, and share electronic data and/or information in agriculture. Horizon 2020
The Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development, also called Framework Programmes or abbreviated FP1 to FP9, are funding programmes created by the European Union/European Commission to support and foster research in the European Research Area (ERA). Starting in 2014, the funding programmes were named Horizon. The funding programmes began in 1984 and continue to the present day. Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is a 7-year European Union scientific research initiative, successor of the Horizon 2020 programme and the earlier Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development.
