Comic Con India
Comic Con India (CCI) is a series of annual comic-based conventions held in India. The first edition was held in New Delhi in 2011 and over the years has expanded to other major cities in India such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmadabad. There are annual comic cons now in all these cities. Cumulatively these five cities attract over 200,000 visitors with over 1200 exhibitors. Jatin Varma, the founder & managing director of Comic Con India, launched the first comic con in India in Delhi in 2011. Since 2014, Comic Con India has been conducted in collaboration with ReedPop, the organisers of the New York Comic Con and the MCM London Comic Con. Cosplay has been a major part of the events. During the first Comic Con in 2011, there were only 13 cosplay participants. By 2017 the number of cosplayers crossed 2000. Comic Con India also hosts the Indian Championship of Cosplay. Tinkle
''Tinkle'' is an Indian fortnightly magazine for children in English, published from Mumbai. Originally owned by the India Book House, the Tinkle brand was acquired by ACK (Amar Chitra Katha) Media in 2007. The magazine contains comics, stories, puzzles, quizzes, contests and other features targeted at school children, although its readership includes many adults as well. It is published in English and syndicated in many Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Malayalam. Sonny Liew
Sonny Liew (born 26 September 1974) is a Malaysia-born comic artist/illustrator based in Singapore. He is best known for ''The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye'' (2015), the first graphic novel to win the Singapore Literature Prize for fiction. Dinosaur Comics
''Dinosaur Comics'' is a constrained webcomic by Canadian writer Ryan North. It is also known as "Qwantz", after the site's domain name, "qwantz.com". The first comic was posted on February 1, 2003, although there were earlier prototypes. ''Dinosaur Comics'' has also been printed in three collections and in a number of newspapers. The comic centers on three main characters, T-Rex, Utahraptor and Dromiceiomimus. Comics are posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Declan Shalvey
Declan Shalvey is an Irish comics artist and writer. He has worked for Marvel Comics, drawing titles like ''Moon Knight'', '' Thunderbolts'' and ''Deadpool''. For Image Comics, he has collaborated with writer Warren Ellis on science fiction series ''Injection'', and written crime comics set in Ireland, including ''Savage Town'', with artist Philip Barrett, and ''Bog Bodies'', with artist Gavin Fullerton.
