Comfort In Sound (song)
"Comfort in Sound" is the last single to be taken from Feeder's 2002 album of the same name. It was only available at first on the band's arena tour in December 2003, and was limited to 3,000 copies. A few weeks after the tour, the single was available for download from "Feederweb" with downloadable PDF artwork. The inclusion of the original "Piece by Piece" video was the first time it was ever released in the UK. It made the B-list of BBC Radio 1's playlist – the first time for a download-only single in which the CD was not commercially available or not available at all. Feeder (band)
Feeder are a Welsh rock band formed in Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. At their peak of commercial success, Feeder won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003; they were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019 for “Distinguished Services to Rock”. Feeder are one of the Britpop era bands to have continued success long after their peak. Their 2019 album '' Tallulah'' debuted at number four, more than two decades after the group formed, and 20 years after their first top 10 album ''Yesterday Went Too Soon''. Jon Lee (drummer)
Jonathan Henry "Jon" Lee (28 March 1968 – 7 January 2002) was a Welsh drummer. He was the original drummer of the British rock band Feeder. Feeder and early career Feeder were formed whilst Grant Nicholas was a producer, before moving to London to gain more experience. He had already met Lee in Newport who moved to London afterwards. They formed a band named Raindancer, who despite winning a TV slot on ITV Central never gained a record deal. Shortly before this, Lee was a member of Newport band The Darling Buds, although only appearing on a couple of b-sides of the "Sure Thing" single. Raindancer's split saw bassist John Canham part ways with the band, before Simon Blight followed soon after when they reformed as Hum, which was changed to Reel, before then changing their name once again to Real when Taka Hirose took over bass duties in 1995. Reading Festival
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house. Headliners and most supporting acts typically play at both sites, with Reading's Friday line up becoming Leeds' Saturday line-up, Reading's Saturday line-up playing at Leeds on Sunday, and Leeds' Friday line-up attending Reading on Sunday. "Pushing the Senses" was the third single released from Welsh rock band Feeder's fifth studio album, '' Pushing the Senses'' (2005). It reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming their 20th top-75 hit in the process. It was the lowest they had charted with a single in six years, after "Paperfaces" made number 41 in 1999. As the video features live gig montages, it is only the second time Feeder’s touring guitarist Dean Tidey has featured in any of their videos. The remix of "Feeling a Moment" was created by a fan of the band who won a competition to have his remix featured on the single. The single of "Feeling a Moment" had a special U-MYX programme that allowed you to remix the track, and the fans could then upload their mixes to a specially designated website to enter the competition. ''Comfort in Sound'' is the fourth studio album by Welsh rock band Feeder, released on 21 October 2002 and also the first to be released by the band after the suicide of drummer Jon Lee earlier in the year. The album was recorded at RAK Studios in London during most of 2002, and was produced by Gil Norton. The band returned to live performance after Lee's suicide, playing low-key slots at various festivals in the United Kingdom, before releasing the single "Come Back Around" and then the album. Three further singles—" Just the Way I'm Feeling", "Forget About Tomorrow" and "Find the Colour"—followed the album's release. The album received positive reviews from the music press and was received well by the public, reaching number six on the UK Albums Chart. "Tumble and Fall" is a single released from Welsh rock band Feeder's fifth studio album, ''Pushing the Senses'' (2005). "Find the Colour" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder, released as the fourth single from their fourth studio album, ''Comfort in Sound'', on 22 September 2003. The single peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The music video sees the band performing in a dark room, with the camera panning around them while they are performing. The action is seen in slow motion, and are actually performing "Godzilla" from their ''Comfort in Sound'' album, with the video slown down with "Find the Colour" edited into the video so it looks like they are performing a different song. This could be seen as the band not being too keen on having the song as a single release. It was noted by frontman Grant Nicholas in an interview on now-defunct TV channel The Amp that as the video is seen in slow motion from start to end, it has done something not done by many or any music videos in the past.
