Comcentre
Comcentre is a 32-storey, skyscraper in the Central Region of Singapore. It was completed in 1981, and is tied with One Raffles Quay South Tower and Pan Pacific Singapore as the 82nd-tallest building in the city-state. The building is the corporate headquarters of Singtel. A complex of antennae and satellite dishes were added after construction. Future plans On 23 February 2022, Singtel announced an over S$2 billion plan to redevelop Comcentre from 2024 into a 110,000 sq m building equipped with the latest digital technologies and sustainable features, as well as being well integrated into the surroundings with an underground connection to Somerset MRT station. The new Comcentre will be developed in a joint venture with another developer that will be selected in May, although two were shortlisted earlier. Somerset MRT Station
Somerset MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South Line in Orchard, Singapore. It is one of the three stations located along the popular shopping belt, Orchard Road. The station connects to Comcentre, Singapore Power Building, Skate Park, 313@Somerset, Orchard Gateway, Orchard Central, Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, Centrepoint Shopping Centre, Mandarin Orchard, The Heeren, Faber House, Orchard Point, Peranakan Place and Emerald Hill. Emporis GmbH was a real estate data mining company that was headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. The company collected data and photographs of buildings worldwide, which were published in an online database from 2000 to September 2022. On 12 September 2022, the managing director of CoStar Europe posted a letter on Emporis.com, informing its community members of the decision which had been made to retire the Emporis community platform, effective 13 September 2022. Emporis offered a variety of information on its public database, Emporis.com. Emporis was frequently cited by various media sources as an authority on building data. Skyscraper
A skyscraper is a tall continuously habitable building having multiple floors. One Raffles Quay () is an office building complex located at Raffles Place, the central business district of Singapore. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, One Raffles Quay (ORQ) consists of the 50-storey North Tower and the 29- storey South Tower, totalling about 1.3 million square feet of office space. The building was purpose-built for banking and financial corporations in August 2006. Pan Pacific Singapore
Pan Pacific Singapore is a hotel located in Marina Centre, Singapore, and operated by the Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. With 38 floors, it is the tallest among the three hotels which are part of the Marina Square development, the other two being the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental Singapore. The hotel has 790 rooms and suites, arranged around an atrium extending 35 floors of the building. The hotel was renovated in 2005 and again in 2012 and it features a lounge in the atrium. 2012 transformation The hotel completed its 4-month transformation and had a soft opening on 31 August 2012.
