	Combat Zone (Boston) "Combat Zone" was the name given in the 1960s to the adult entertainment district in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Centered on Washington Street between Boylston Street and Kneeland Street, the area was once the site of many strip clubs, peep shows, X-rated movie theaters, and adult bookstores. It had a reputation for crime, including prostitution. In 1974, in an attempt to contain the spread of adult businesses, the Boston Redevelopment Authority officially designated the Combat Zone as the city's adult entertainment district. For a variety of reasons, such as rising property values and the introduction of home video technology, most of the adult businesses in the area have since closed, and the "Combat Zone" moniker has become obsolete. 	Combat Zone (TV Series) ''Combat Zone'' (formerly known as ''Combat des Clips'') was a music video program on Canadian music TV station MuchMusic. It was hosted from 1991 to 1997 by Craig F. Halket. The show involved two popular music videos playing the roles of the combatants. During the hour-long program, viewers could either call in, fax or email their votes for one of the two competing songs. A separate French edition of the program, also titled ''Combat des clips'', aired on MusiquePlus. During the progress of the show, various other videos of similar genres as the two competing songs are shown, as well as trivia about the champion and challenger along with other songs by those musicians. By the end of the program, the song with the most votes becomes the champion and is played. In the subsequent weeks, for however long that song continually gets voted champion (maximum five weeks), it faces new challengers. 	Combat Zone Wrestling Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) is an American independent wrestling promotion. In 1998, John Zandig and five of his students, Ric Blade, T.C.K, Lobo, Nick Gage and Justice Pain, along with trainer Jon Dahmer, began to run professional wrestling shows in New Jersey and Delaware, showcasing a brand of hardcore wrestling dubbed as "ultraviolence". Ladders, tables, steel folding chairs, thumbtacks, barbed wire, weed whackers, light tubes, panes of glass, exploding barbed wire baseball bats, and fire are all common elements of "ultraviolent wrestling" in CZW. The company filled a niche for hardcore wrestling fans that had been left open by the folding of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).
