State Highway 121 (SH 121) is a 30.425 mile (48.96 km) long state highway in the U.S. state of Colorado. SH 121's southern terminus is at Waterton Road near Littleton, and the northern terminus is at U.S. Route 287 (US 287) in Broomfield. Route description The route, also known as Wadsworth Boulevard, Wadsworth Bypass, and Wadsworth Parkway, starts at a junction with Waterton Road in unincorporated Jefferson County (near Littleton and at the entrance to the main plant of Lockheed Martin Space Systems) and ends at the junction of U.S. Route 36, U.S. Route 287, and State Highway 128 in Broomfield at a trumpet interchange. Colfax Avenue is the main street that runs east–west through the Denver metropolitan area in Colorado. As U.S. Highway 40, it was one of two principal highways serving Denver before the Interstate Highway System was constructed. In the local street system, it lies 15 blocks north of the zero meridian (Ellsworth Avenue, one block south of 1st Avenue), and would thus otherwise be known as 15th Avenue. Hackberry Hill is a hill in northeast Arvada, Colorado between the Ralston Creek and Little Dry Creek watersheds. History The top of this hill was the site of a lone hackberry tree which served as a landmark to early explorers and settlers of region. The tree was unusual, both for its location since the only other scattered trees in the area grew next to water, and because hackberry trees were not native to the region. State Highway 128 (SH 128) is a long state highway in the Denver, Colorado metro area. SH 128's western terminus is at SH 93 south of Boulder, and the eastern terminus is at Interstate 25 (I-25) in Westminster. Route description The route begins in the west at a junction with SH 93 roughly thirteen miles south of Boulder. From there, the road proceeds eastward into the northern portions of the Denver metropolitan area.
