Colony High School (Alaska)
Colony High School (CHS) is a public secondary school in Palmer, Alaska, United States, serving students in grades 9– 12. It is part of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District. Colony High School's rivals include Wasilla High School and Palmer High School. Sports Colony's sports include football, cross-country running, swimming, tennis, cross-country skiing, wrestling, hockey, basketball, track and field, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and softball. Activities Colony High School had the state's only marching band for 15 years until 2017, when one other school in the area started a band. The following season, three other schools also started bands and four of the five participated in the 2018 Invitational hosted annually by Colony. Cole Manger (born November 11, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver in the Arena Football League (AFL) who played for the Columbus Destroyers, and Grand Rapids Rampage. He played college football for the Bowling Green Falcons. College career Football Magner finished his career the all-time leader in receptions at 215. He finished his career sixth on the Falcons all-time receiving yards list with 2,385 yards and fifth in touchdown receptions with 18. Jessica Moore (basketball)
Jessica Alicia Moore (born July 9, 1982) is an American professional basketball player. Moore was a Center for the UConn Huskies from 2000 to 2005. High school Moore was introduced to basketball at the age of 10 by her older brother. By the time Moore reached Colony High School in Palmer, Alaska, she was a good all-around athlete. She was on the basketball, track and volleyball teams. The basketball team reached the state finals four times winning the State Championship twice, and the volleyball team also won two State Championships. Jessica was voted Alaska's Athlete Of The Year her junior and senior high school years. Her most memorable experience from high school was winning her first of two State Championships in 1998. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade in New York City presented by the U.S.-based department store chain Macy's. Tournament Of Roses Parade Marching Bands
For the Tournament of Roses Parade, top marching bands from all over the world are invited. Many of the nation's top high school marching bands participate, along with college and organizational marching bands. Prior to the parade, most of the bands will participate in one of three "Bandfest" shows at Pasadena City College and at other Southern California venues. The bands participating in the parade have also developed traditions. For example, Pasadena City College's Lancer Marching Band always marches in the Rose Parade, along with high school band and color guard students from all over Southern California, who are selected by audition the previous autumn.
