Colonial Theatre Complex
The Colonial Theatre Complex is a group of historic buildings in Laconia, New Hampshire. There are three sections to the complex: the Piscopo Block, Colonial Theatre, and Canal Street Annex. The Piscopo Block, which contains the main entrance to the theatre, is distinguished by a large marquee spelling out "COLONIAL" that is located on Main Street (New Hampshire Route 106). Laconia is a city in Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 16,871 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, up from 15,951 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. It is the county seat of Belknap County. A marquee is most commonly a structure placed over the entrance to a hotel, theatre, casino, train station, or similar building. New Hampshire Route 106 is a secondary north–south highway in Merrimack and Belknap counties in central New Hampshire. It connects the town of Pembroke with Meredith in the Lakes Region. Wolfeboro, New Hampshire
Wolfeboro is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 6,416 at the 2020 census. A resort area situated beside Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro includes the village of Wolfeboro Falls. History The town was granted by colonial Governor Benning Wentworth in 1759 to four young men of Portsmouth, and named "Wolfeborough" in honor of English General James Wolfe, who had been victorious at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759 during the French and Indian War.
