Arturo Colombi
Arturo Colombi (born January 6, 1958) is an Argentine Radical Civic Union (UCR) politician, and former governor of Corrientes Province. Born in Mercedes, Corrientes, and educated at the National University of the Northeast with a degree in civil engineering, Colombi served as provincial Minister of Public Works in the administration of then-governor, his cousin Ricardo Colombi. He was elected governor of the province in 2005, when Ricardo Colombi resigned to stand for a seat in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies. Colombi was a leading UCR supporter of Peronist President Néstor Kirchner, and led the Frente de Todos (1996 coalition) coalition between the UCR and justicialists in the October 2005 elections, supported by Kirchner. In 2007, he successfully led the Corrientes Province party list supported by presidential candidate Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in elections to congressional seats, but was opposed by his cousin and former ally, Ricardo Colombi. Henry Colombi (born April 4, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Marshall Thundering Herd. He previously played for the Utah State Aggies and Texas Tech Red Raiders. College career Utah State Colombi redshirted his first year at Utah State and did not play. The first collegiate game Colombi appeared in was in week 2 of the 2018 season against New Mexico State in relief of starter Jordan Love in the 60–13 victory; he would finish the game 3-of-4 for 13 yards. The following game, against Tennessee Tech, Colombi played the entire second half of the game as the Aggies were up 45–6 at halftime. Ricardo Colombi (born August 30, 1957) is an Argentine lawyer and politician elected Governor of Corrientes Province in 2009. Life and times Ricardo Horacio Colombi was born in Mercedes, a Corrientes Province agricultural and cattle ranching hub at the southern end of the Esteros del Iberá wetlands. He enrolled at the National University of the Northeast and became active in the Franja Morada, the collegiate chapter of the centrist Radical Civic Union (UCR), following which he earned a Law Degree and practiced in his native Mercedes. He married Graciela Barattini in 1988. Colombi first campaigned for elected office in 1991, and was elected mayor of Mercedes that year. Maria Antonietta Torriani was an Italian journalist and fiction writer. Much of her work was published under the pen name Marchesa Colombi, a character in the comedy ''La satira e Parini'' by Paolo Ferrari. Early life and education She was born in Novara in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy on January 1, 1840. Her father, Luigi Torriani, was a watchmaker, and her mother, Carolina Imperatori, was an elementary school teacher. A year after her birth, her father died at the age of 32. She had an older sister, Giuseppina, and a younger half-brother, Tommaso. She attended the primary school where her mother taught, and spent four years at the Bellini Institute of Arts and Crafts, where she excelled academically.
