Collingwood railway station is located on the Mernda and Hurstbridge lines in Victoria, Australia. It serves the north-eastern Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford, and opened on 21 October 1901 as Collingwood Town Hall. It was renamed Collingwood on 1 May 1909. Whilst it is named after Collingwood (and, originally, the adjacent Collingwood Town Hall), the station is actually located in the neighbouring suburb of Abbotsford. History Collingwood station opened on 21 October 1901, when the direct line between Princes Bridge and Clifton Hill opened. During 1986 and 1987, the station buildings and platforms were rebuilt, and were in use by 7 September 1987. Platforms and services Collingwood has two side platforms. It is served by Mernda and Hurstbridge line trains. Joyce–Collingwood Station
Joyce–Collingwood (formerly Joyce) is an elevated station on the Expo Line, a part of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located on Joyce Street at Vanness Avenue, in the Renfrew–Collingwood neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. History The station was designed by the Austrian architecture firm Architektengruppe U-Bahn and opened in 1985 as "Joyce station" on the original Expo Line. It replaced Joyce Loop, located south at the intersection of Joyce Street and Kingsway, as the main transfer point for local transit services in the area. Trolley wires were extended to the station in early 1986 to bring trolley buses to the station's bus loop. The station is located on the former right-of-way once used by the British Columbia Electric Railway's Central Park Line; this line ran from just west of Nanaimo station to where New Westminster station is located. Collingwood Road Tube Station
Collingwood Road was an authorised railway station planned by the Wimbledon and Sutton Railway (W&SR) and Underground Electric Railways Company of London (UERL) but never built. It was to be located on Collingwood Road in Sutton in south-west London. Plan The station was to have been built on the W&SR's planned surface railway line in Surrey (now south-west London) from Wimbledon to Sutton. The station was to be near the junction of Collingwood Road and Sydney Road. The construction of the railway was approved in 1910. In 1911 the UERL agreed to provide funding for the line's construction and to operate its train services by extending the UERL's District Railway (DR) from Wimbledon station. Delays in the purchase of land along the railway's route and the outbreak of war prevented the works from commencing and the permission was extended several times with a final extension granted in 1922.
