Collingwood College Boat Club
Collingwood College Boat Club (CCBC) is the rowing club of Collingwood College, part of Durham University. CCBC was formed in 1981 and is housed in the Collingwood College boathouse on the River Wear. Collingwood is widely held as the most successful college rowing club at Durham University, with last year's (2021) highest ever placing at HORR of 101st, beating all Durham College crews, and two out of the four Durham University team boats. The club is led by an executive committee elected by the boat club members. The current president for 22/23 is Jon Foster, the Women's Captain 22/23 is Helen O'Connor, and the Men's Captain 22/23 is Ryan Cooper. Racing CCBC competes in many races and regattas both in the North East and the rest of the United Kingdom, winning the college Victor Ludorum at Hexham Regatta 4 years in a row (2012-2016). Durham College Rowing
Durham College Rowing (commonly abbreviated to DCR) represents all sixteen college boat clubs in Durham University, encompassing approximately half of the rowers, scullers and coxes in the region of North East England. As well as organising trailers to competitions off the River Wear, DCR also organises inter-collegiate events, coaching and launch-driving courses, swim tests, and implement and enforce the regulations as set out by the Durham University Rowing Board. DCR also provides a forum for college captains to meet and discuss current rowing events, particularly safety issues, with each other and with the executive committee. Temple Challenge Cup
The Temple Challenge Cup is one of the eight (rowing), eights races at Henley Royal Regatta at Henley-on-Thames on the River Thames in England. It is open to male crews from universities, colleges or schools. Combined entries from two colleges of the same university, or from different schools, are allowed. There are restrictions on individual rowers to ensure that the faster crews row in the Ladies' Challenge Plate. The Prince Albert Challenge Cup
The Prince Albert Challenge Cup is an event at Henley Royal Regatta. It is contested by Men's Student Crews in Coxed fours. It has been held since 2004. Creation in 2004 The Britannia Challenge Cup was originally presented in 1969 as an event for four-oars with coxswain (Coxed Fours) open to club and student crews, and was contested for its first 35 years by an entry of 32 crews, racing over 5 days - with many times its entry number entering qualification and pre-qualifying races. The Britannia Challenge Cup was split between club and student crews in 2004, having created additional competition time by removing the Prince Philip Challenge Cup, which had been contested by a small entry (usually between 2–4) of international elite oarsmen but was removed from the racing programme in line with the continued removal of coxed fours racing from international regattas meaning that it had lost value. Eton, Berkshire

Dorney Lake
Dorney Lake (also known as Eton College Rowing Centre, and as Eton Dorney as a 2012 Summer Olympics venue) is a purpose-built rowing lake in England. It is near the village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire, and is around 3 km (2 miles) west of Windsor and Eton, close to the River Thames. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College, which spent £17 million developing it. Additional grants, totalling £500,000, were obtained from Sport England, UK Sport, the DCMS and SEEDA in order to build the lake's finish tower. The project was completed in 2006, after 10 years of construction. Durham Regatta
Durham Regatta is a rowing regatta held annually on the second weekend in June on the River Wear in Durham, North East of England; It is known as the Henley of the North, but began several years before the more prestigious Henley Royal Regatta. Durham Regatta is the second-oldest rowing regatta in England, preceded only by Chester Regatta. The first regatta was held over 17–19 June 1834, opening with a six-oared race in 1834 won by ''Velocity'', owned by W. L. Wharton, High Sheriff of Durham, against the Durham University Original Club in ''Sylph''.
