Collierville Schools
Collierville Schools is a municipal school district that serves approximately 9,000 students in Collierville, Tennessee. It was formed by secession from Shelby County Schools in 2014. History Collierville Schools was formed in 2014 as one of six suburban school districts to secede from Shelby County Schools after the Tennessee legislature permitted the formation of new school districts the previous year. The district saw considerable reshuffling due to overcrowding at the start of the 2018–19 school year. The high school received a new amenity-laden $94 million campus, and Schilling Farms Middle School moved into the old high school building as "West Collierville Middle School". Collierville is a town in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States, and a suburb located in the Memphis metropolitan area. With a population of 51,324 in the 2020 census, Collierville is the third largest municipality in the county after Memphis and Bartlett. It is home to the Carriage Crossing shopping mall and is served by Collierville Schools. Founded by entrepreneur Jesse R. It was founded in 1973 in the Shelby County Schools and has since used four different campuses as one of the two public middle schools in the town of Collierville. History Collierville Middle School was established 1973, originally teaching the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades before shifting campuses in 1976 and reducing its taught grades to sixth through eighth.
