Collideascope
Collideascope, or Collideascope Digital Productions, was a Canadian animation studio and new media company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia from 1995 to 2009. Founded by Michael-Andreas Kuttner and Steven Comeau, it was the largest animation studio in Atlantic Canada at 120 employees in 2007, down from 130 at its peak in 2005. Notable original productions from Collideascope include the Gemini Award-winning ''Olliver's Adventures'', one of the earliest animated television series made in Macromedia Flash, and ''Delilah & Julius'', both in association with Decode Entertainment and commissioning broadcaster Teletoon. ''Delilah & Julius'' is a Canadian animated series targeted at children as well as teenagers and adults, and animated using Macromedia Flash technology. It premiered on Canada's Teletoon animation channel. ''Delilah and Julius'' was produced by Decode Entertainment and Collideascope Digital Productions. 52 episodes were produced. The series centers on a pair of highly trained young adults, Delilah and Julius, who were both orphaned children of special agents. ''Olliver's Adventures'' is a Canadian animated television series that originally aired on Teletoon on September 3, 2002, with the first 13 episodes. WildBrain Studios
WildBrain Studios is the in-house television studio arm of Canadian entertainment company WildBrain based in Vancouver which was established in 2016 as DHX Studios. History In January 2016, DHX Media announced that they would be building a 60,000 square-foot studio in Vancouver that would focus on both animated and live-action productions. The production teams of the former Studio B Productions, which DHX Media acquired in 2007 and Nerd Corps Entertainment, which DHX acquired in 2014 were relocated to the new building later in the year. The studio consists of two production teams: the former Nerd Corps team, which focuses on the production of CGI animated shows, and the former Studio B team, which focuses on the production of 2D animated shows (including those animated with Adobe Animate). An animation studio is a company producing animated media. Gemini Awards
The Gemini Awards were awards given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television between 1986–2011 to recognize the achievements of Canada's television industry. The Gemini Awards are analogous to the Emmy Awards given in the United States and the BAFTA Television Awards in the United Kingdom. First held in 1986 to replace the ACTRA Award, the ceremony celebrated Canadian television productions with awards in 87 categories, along with other special awards such as lifetime achievement awards.
