Colleferro Calcio 1937
The Sports Association Football Colleferro is an Italian football club based in Colleferro ( RM), which currently plays in the non-professional league Eccellenza in the Latium region. History The team was officially formed in 1937 under the name "Group Company Colleferro BPD", taken from the industrial center of the town. The uniforms reflect the town crest, red and black. After WW2, BPD Colleferro made its name in Italian football quickly climbing all the way to the top of Serie C. In the '50s, during its tenure in Serie C, BPD Colleferro met several times with A.S. Roma in training matches that the yellowreds played every Thursdays. Several players wore the rossoneri jersey coming from notable teams such as (Scamos from the Pisa) Egidio Guarnacci from Rome and the Fiorentina who also can caount and two caps in National, Caslino by 'Atalanta, Corrado Bernicchi by Sampdoria. Colleferro
Colleferro (IPA: /kɔllefɛrro/) is a small town with 20 698 inhabitants of the Metropolitan City of Rome in the Lazio region of central Italy. It is a residential zone with many different industries and sports structures. It borders the City of Frosinone. Physical geography Territory Colleferro, not exactly in the province of Frosinone, but on its threshold in the province of Rome, is the site of one of the private industries of Central Italy, Bombrini and Parodi; it stands out in the agricultural and pastoral industries and it's one of the most hardworking of Lazio. Natale Gonnella
Natale Gonnella (born 19 January 1976) is an Italian retired footballer. Gonnella played more than 250 matches at Serie B. Club career Born in Colleferro, in the province of Rome, Gonnella started his career at northern giant Internazionale. In 1995, he left for Serie C1 side Gualdo then Ravenna of Serie B. In 1997, he joined Hellas Verona where he played until 2003. In January 2003 he joined Atalanta of Serie A, in exchange with Mauro Minelli. After the team relegated in June 2003, partnered with Gianpaolo Bellini he played as a regular starter in Serie B and won promotion back to Serie A. Since the return of Cesare Natali, he just played 9 league matches before left on loan to Arezzo in January 2005. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. The Serie C () is the third-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie B and Serie A. The Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico (Lega Pro) is the governing body that runs the Serie C.
