Colleen Hewett
Colleen Hewett (born 16 April 1950) is an Australian singer and actress. Hewett's top 40 singles on the Kent Music Report include " Super Star", " Day by Day" (both 1971), "Carry That Weight" (1972), "Dreaming My Dreams with You" (1980) and "Gigolo" (1981). Her version of "Day by Day" peaked at No. 1 on the ''Go-Set'' National Top 40 Singles Chart and was certified as a gold record. At the ''TV Week'' King of Pop Awards she was voted Queen of Pop in both 1972 and 1973. Apart from being a staple in theatre roles, she is probably best known for her brief tenure as guest character Sheila Brady in the international hit TV series ''Prisoner'', known internationally as ''Prisoner: Cell Block H''. Ivan Dayman
Ivan Howard Dayman (20 July 19201 October 1989) was an Australian music promoter, record producer, label owner and talent manager of the 1960s and 1970s, based first in Adelaide, then Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Although his career was brief – ca. 1964 to 1968 – he is significant in the history of Australian popular music as the first person to establish an integrated entertainment group that included artist management, a booking agency, a chain of venues in major cities, and a recording label. Roger Savage
Roger Savage is an Australian sound engineer who was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Sound for the film ''Moulin Rouge!''. After moving from England to Australia in 1964, he engineered some of the most important Australian popular music recordings of the period, including classic tracks by The Twilights, MPD Ltd, The Masters Apprentices and Spectrum, as well as innumerable radio and TV commercials. Savage began to concentrate on film work in the 1970s. One of his earliest film credits was as an audio engineer on ''Getting Back to Nothing'', Tim Burstall's documentary of the 1970 World Surfing Championships staged at Bells Beach, Victoria. Waylon Jennings
Waylon Jennings (June 15, 1937 – February 13, 2002) was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He pioneered the Outlaw Movement in country music. Jennings started playing guitar at the age of eight and performed at age fourteen on KVOW radio, after which he formed his first band, The Texas Longhorns. Jennings left high school at age sixteen, determined to become a musician, and worked as a performer and DJ on KVOW, KDAV, KYTI, KLLL, in Coolidge, Arizona, and Phoenix. In 1958, Buddy Holly arranged Jennings's first recording session, and hired him to play bass. Jennings gave up his seat on the ill-fated flight in 1959 that crashed and killed Holly, J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and Ritchie Valens. Jennings then formed a rockabilly club band, The Waylors, which became the house band at "JD's", a club in Scottsdale, Arizona. ''Dreaming My Dreams'' is the twenty-second studio album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings. The album was co-produced with Jack Clement and recorded at Glaser Sound Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, between February and July 1974. Following the 1972 renewal of his contract with RCA Records, Jennings gained artistic freedom, started to produce his own records, and changed his image to one inspired by the ongoing outlaw movement. Jennings recorded the critically acclaimed ''Honky Tonk Heroes'' and the commercial success '' This Time''. Jennings left the recording studios of RCA and moved his operation to the Glaser Sound Studio. Atlantic Recording Corporation (simply known as Atlantic Records) is an American record label founded in October 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun and Herb Abramson. "Superstar" is the title song from the 1970 album and 1971 rock opera ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Content The song is sung by the spirit of Judas Iscariot, who had committed suicide earlier in the show. The song consists of a series of questions addressed to Jesus, such as why Jesus chose to come to Israel in 4 BC when it had no "mass communication" as opposed to modern times, whether Jesus had planned his own death, whether Jesus knew beforehand that his death would become famous, and whether religious figures such as Gautama Buddha and Muhammad are his equals. The Playbox Theatre was a theatre located at 53-55 Exhibition Street in Melbourne, Australia, from 1927 to 1984.
