Ministry of Public Health (MOPH)-Mahidol University's Collaborative Project to Increase Production of Rural Doctor () ( th, โครงการร่วมผลิตแพทย์เพิ่มเพื่อชาวชนบท กระทรวงสาธารณสุข สถาบันสมทบมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล), or previously named the Praboromarajchanok Institute until 2019, is the 13th medical program established in Thailand, and was founded in 1997. The project runs in the collaboration between Ministry of Public Health and Mahidol University which consists of a collection of Medical Education Centers (MEC) ( th, ศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก). The university approved 4 hospitals as teaching affiliates in this project, and offers only the Doctor of Medicine program (M.D.), which produces around 132 medical doctors annually. Hospitals in Thailand are operated by both the public and private sector, to provide medical services for prevention, cure and rehabilitation of patients with medical and health-related conditions. The Faculty of Science was founded as a Pre-medical School in 1958 by Stang Mongkolsuk, and took the name of Faculty of Science, Mahidol University in 1969. Ratchaburi Hospital () is the main hospital of Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. It is classified by the Ministry of Public Health as a regional hospital. History The foundation stone for Ratchaburi Hospital was laid on 2 April 1941 and the hospital opened in 1941, consisting of a small patient building, doctor's lodgings, and a kitchen. Praboromarajchanok Institute () is a public higher education institute for production of public health workforce under the Ministry of Public Health in Thailand. It named after the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla.
