Colin Thompson (American Football)
Colin Thompson (born December 15, 1993) is an American football tight end who is a free agent. He played college football at Temple. Early years Thompson attended Archbishop Wood Catholic High School. He suffered an injury to the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot during his senior year. Thompson helped Archbishop Wood win the PIAA championship during his senior year. He was ranked the No. 2 tight end in the country and played in the 2012 Under Armour All-American Game. College career Thompson began his college career at Florida. During his freshman year, he re-injured the same foot he injured in high school and was ruled medically ineligible. After being cleared to return to football, Thompson transferred to Temple, the only university to offer him a scholarship. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. Robbie Anderson (born May 9, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Temple. Anderson was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Prior to the 2022 season, he spelled his name as Robby Anderson. Matt Rhule
Matthew Kenneth Rhule (born January 31, 1975) is an American football coach and former player, who is the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was previously the head coach at Temple University, Baylor University, and for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played as a linebacker for Penn State University. Rhule was born and raised in New York City before moving to State College, Pennsylvania, where he would later join the Penn State football team as a walk-on under coach Joe Paterno. After a four-year playing career, Rhule began his first coaching job in 1998 as a volunteer assistant for Penn State. Rahim Shaheed Moore (born February 11, 1990) is an American football free safety for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at UCLA. Early years Moore attended Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, California, where he was teammates with future college teammate, Johnathan Franklin. Pete Mangurian
Peter K. Mangurian (born June 17, 1955) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently serving as the offensive line coach for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL (2020), XFL and was formerly the tight ends coach for the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. Mangurian has been a longtime assistant coach in the National Football League (NFL) as a tight end coach, offensive line coach, and offensive coordinator. He has coached in two Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls and numerous playoff appearances during his tenure as an NFL coach. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. A draft pool of 1,000 eligible players was announced in 200-player installments the week before the draft. The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise. Zachary Scott Miller (born October 4, 1984) is a former American football tight end. He played quarterback and tight end in college at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. During his NFL career, Miller struggled with various injuries that prevented him from significant playing time. From 2009 to 2011 with the Jaguars, he started only five games with 33 appearances, followed by a brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that also resulted in injury.
