Colin Mark Patrick (21 October 1893 – 7 January 1942) was a British Conservative Party politician. He was elected at the 1931 general election as Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tavistock division of Devon, and held the seat until his death in 1942, aged 48. Brigadier-General Wallace Duffield Wright, (20 September 1875 – 25 March 1953) was a British soldier and politician. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Early life Wright, the son of James Sykes Wright was born in Gibraltar on 20 September 1875. He was educated at Cranbrook School, Kent. He joined the Militia in 1893, and was commissioned into the 1st Battalion of the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) in December 1896. Wright and served with the Malakand Field Force and the Tirah Expeditionary Force on the North West Frontier (1897–1898), during which he was severely wounded. He was awarded the Indian Frontier Medal with clasps for the Punjab Frontier and Tirah and was promoted to Lieutenant in September 1898. Sir Henry Gray Studholme, 1st Baronet CVO DL (13 June 1899 – 9 October 1987) was a British Conservative Party politician. Early life Studholme was the son of landowner William Paul Studholme and a grandson of New Zealand pioneer and politician John Studholme. He was educated at Eton College and Magdalen College, Oxford and served as an officer in the Scots Guards. Parliament Studholme was Member of Parliament (MP) for Tavistock from a 1942 by-election until his retirement in 1966, when he was succeeded by Michael Heseltine. He served under Winston Churchill and then Anthony Eden as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household (i.e. a whip) from 1951 to 1956. In 1956, he was created a Baronet of Perridge in the County of Devon.
