Colin Gordon (footballer)
Colin Kenneth Gordon (born 17 January 1963) is an English former footballer born in Stourbridge, Worcestershire, who played as a striker. He scored 60 goals in 194 appearances in the Football League playing for Swindon Town, Wimbledon, Gillingham, Reading, Bristol City, Fulham, Birmingham City, Hereford United, Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Leicester City. He went on to play non-League football for Kidderminster Harriers, Gloucester City, on loan from Kidderminster, and Stourbridge. He then went into sports agency; his company represented England national team manager Steve McClaren and players David James and Theo Walcott, among others. He came to particular notice when he made an attack on football finance, alleging significant levels of corruption within the game. Dave Hockaday
David Hockaday (born 9 November 1957) is an English professional footballer who is currently Head of Male Football at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. He has previously worked as a manager at Leeds United, Forest Green Rovers, Kidderminster Harriers and in a caretaker capacity at Coventry City. A former professional footballer, Hockaday played for Blackpool, Hull City, Shrewsbury Town, Stoke City and Swindon Town. as a right-back. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. 2006 Allegations Of Corruption In English Football
In 2006, several allegations were made of corruption in English football, by sources both inside and outside the game, including a '' BBC Panorama'' investigation. In response, the Football Association commissioned a report from Lord Stevens, former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, and subsequently an investigation was carried out by the City of London police, leading to many arrests. Allegations January – Managers In January 2006, then Luton Town manager, Mike Newell and then-manager of Queens Park Rangers, Ian Holloway alleged that bribes were rife in the sport. David Benjamin James MBE (born 1 August 1970) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Steve McClaren
Stephen McClaren (born 3 May 1961) is an English former professional footballer and coach who currently serves as an assistant coach for Premier League club Manchester United, in his second spell at the club. McClaren began his coaching career with Oxford United, before joining Derby County in 1995.
