Colin Buchanan (musician)
Colin Buchanan (born May 23, 1964) is an Australian singer, entertainer and multi-instrumentalist. Early life Colin moved with his family to Melbourne, Australia as a six-year-old, and then Peakhurst, Sydney, before moving to the outback in 1988, with his wife for a couple of years, studying with Cornerstone Community inc. This included a year in Bourke, in the corner country of New South Wales, and another in Grenfell, New South Wales. Career Colin has won nine Golden Guitar Australian Country Music Awards and has written songs with Lee Kernaghan, Adam Brand and Troy Cassar-Daley. His song "Hat Town", written with Lee Kernaghan, won an APRA Award, while his Christmas album, recorded with Greg Champion, has become an Australian classic, in particular his "Aussie Jingle Bells", now a staple at school end-of-year concerts. Tamworth Country Music Festival
The Tamworth Country Music Festival is an annual Australian music festival held for 10 days from Friday to Sunday in mid to late January each year, sometimes including Australia Day, in Tamworth, New South Wales. The festival is the second biggest country music festival in the world, after the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The festival is a celebration of country music culture and heritage, in particular the national Australian country music scene, with numerous concerts and live performances at various venues. Alex Dyson
Alexander Edward Dyson (born 22 June 1988) is an Australian radio presenter who presented the breakfast show on Australian youth radio station Triple J from 2010 to 2016, alongside Tom Ballard and then with Matt Okine. He is also a small business owner and published author. Since 2019, Dyson has twice run for the federal seat of Wannon in 2022 with the support of the independent “Voices” movement. Personal life Tyson was born to parents Ian and Helen Jean Dyson and grew up Warrnambool, Victoria. Dyson's mother died when he was four years old. Tom Ballard
Thomas Colin Ballard (born 26 November 1989) is an Australian comedian, radio and television presenter. Early life Ballard was born to parents Judy and Neil Ballard and grew up in Warrnambool, Victoria. He attended Brauer Secondary College, graduating in 2007 as School Captain and Dux and achieving an Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank of 99.80 in his Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). He was consequently named as the dux of the South West Region. He then briefly studied law at Monash University. He was also awarded the VCAA's 2007 VCE Achiever's Award. Shanley Del Morris (born 9 November 1962), who performs as Shanley Del, is a New Zealand-born Australian-based country and pop music singer-songwriter. Her second album, ''My Own Sweet Time'' (September 1997), won the ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 1998.
